An early example of Porsche’s original 911 Turbo, this 1976 Porsche 930 Coupe was originally specified for the European market (RoW) and comes finished in White over a brown leather interior. In recent years, it was subjected to a full engine rebuild along with the installation of an upgraded TiAL wastegate, new gearbox synchronizers, suspension bushings, and brake calipers as well as rebuilds of the turbocharger and fuel injection system. The car has also been adorned with period-correct side graphics, matching 16” Fuchs wheels, a 917-style shift knob, and reupholstered Nappa leather seats with pepita cloth centers. This classic 911 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania with approximately 95k kilometers showing on the odometer.
The early Porsche 930 featured a distinctive whale tail rear spoiler which gained a larger engine cooling grille for the 1976 model year. The Turbo is further distinguished from the standard 911 model range by widened fenders, dual tailpipes, and a front chin spoiler. This example has been refinished in the current shade of White and features period-style Turbo side decals in bronze which were applied in October 2022 along with a full paint correction and the installation of bronze-finished 16” Fuchs wheels and Riken tires. The seller notes the car’s original color was Copper Brown Metallic and the current finish remains in good overall condition. The undercarriage also benefits from recent dry ice cleaning. The cabin features a pair of reupholstered front seats in brown Nappa leather with pepita inserts and German Silver Knit carpeting. The seller notes the door panels, dashboard, and rear parcel shelf were dyed to match the seats. Other modifications include a mahogany 917-style shift knob, a Rennshift short shifter, billet aluminum Rennline control knobs, Rennline drilled aluminum pedals, upgraded LED lighting, a Heuer rally stopwatch set, and a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR43 Bluetooth stereo with new speakers. A new A/C compressor was also installed within the last 4 years.
Derived from the Carrera RS 3.0, the first-generation 930 is equipped with a 3.0-liter flat-six motor paired with a single KKK Type 3LDZ turbocharger and a 4-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes a mechanical restoration was commenced in November 2019 which include a full engine rebuild as well as a rebuilt turbocharger and Bosch CIS fuel injection system. The gearbox synchronizers were also replaced at this time along with the suspension bushings, shocks, brake calipers, master cylinder, and the installation of an upgraded TiAL 1-bar wastegate.
This sale will include a collection of records along with the original owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

Nice car! The original color is Copper metallic 443, Inside Cinnamon full leather from the factory and delivered in Germany new, without any deep study I think it is a matching number car, correct engine, and the number matches well to the Vin number as the gearbox correct type 32. The boost gauge was from 77 and this is probably why they have installed the 77 sender to get the 77 rev counter to work. In Pictures 155 and some others, you can see traces of the Copper metallic, Carpet look to be original as they are very difficult to find these days and other parts.
It seems like a solid nice color change and a very nice 76 Turbo. This is probably how the car was delivered originally color scheme http://930no55.com/. and my opinion the 3,0 L Turbo cars are the best ones to drive and special the ROW model so this is a good buy for somebody that likes to have a 930 Turbo one-off the 623 Units Produced 1976., what make the big differs on the 3,0 L Turbo when you compare with the 3,3 L cars is the short gearbox, the weight ratio is more or less the same as RSR cars.
I think it's going to end up above my budget so I'm going to share some details: I went to see the vehicle earlier this week. I have little to no experience in classic vehicles, but this thing is a windows-out restoration and I cannot imagine someone to be disappointed upon receipt. The Heuer dash gauges are the chef's kiss. Interior is nearly immaculate. There is some "hunting" at cold start but have been told this is normal for this era of car. Good luck guys!

I had this in a '77. Great car. I always liked the whale tale as opposed to the tea tray. You know when the turbo kicks in! 90 mph in 2nd gear. Someone is going to have a lot of fun.

The engine looks to be 1977. The intake plenum has a boost gauge sending unit for the gauge at the bottom of the tach. 1976 had no boost gauge.

Although the accented 16 inch wheels look great, 1976 Turbos came with 15X7 and 15X8 black centered Fuchs and 20/24mm wheel spacers. Do you have these original parts?

@Bespokeracing there are no rock chips that stand out. I will take a closer look for any minor chips upfront. It was a glass out wreath spray. I don’t see any evidence of the original paint under the carpet. But you do see it in the engine compartment and in the frunk.
There is a spot on the bottom of the engine lid where the paint has worn a little bit and you can see the original color.

How are the dash and interior repaints, any peeling?
Was the paint job done glass out and complete inside to out or is the original color still under the carpeting or elsewhere?
