Equipped with a fuel-injected 2.7-liter engine and a 5-speed manual transaxle, this 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe came factory-finished in the Paint to Sample color of Black Metallic and features a rare non-sunroof “slicktop” configuration. The car is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity showing matching engine and transmission numbers and benefits from extensive recent refurbishment including a full glass-out repaint, a new windshield, clutch kit, CDI unit, brake master cylinder, drivetrain mounts, reupholstered seats, and refinished wheels. It also features a new MOMO steering wheel, RS-style door panels, and an RS-style ducktail spoiler. Cared for by its last owner since 2008, this 911S is now being auctioned by its seller out of Florida.

This non-sunroof Coupe is finished in Black Metallic, a color offered only as an exclusive Paint to Sample option (99) during the model year. The car is said to have been recently refinished in its original color along with replacements of all rubber seals, gaskets, and the windshield. Equipment includes a front chin spoiler, rectangular front fog lights, dual mirrors, a fender-mounted antenna, and refurbished 15” Fuchs alloy wheels dressed in new tires. The rocker panel covers have been removed and an RS-style ducktail rear spoiler has been installed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The black interior features newly reupholstered seats with matching RS-style door panels and a new three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Other accessories include power windows, a heater, a locking glovebox, a quartz clock, and an aftermarket stereo and speakers.

The rear wheels are driven by a fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller states that the car has been serviced with a new clutch kit, starter ring, CDI unit, brake master cylinder, and engine and transmission mounts.

This sale will include a clean title.

@Rswarts1 The available records are all mostly related to the parts acquired during the restoration works, so they are pretty recent and there are no historical records.
About the engine work, there are no records related to the head studs, most important documented services mechanically speaking are new clutch kit, starter ring, new CDI, brake master cylinder, etc.

  • Rswarts1 (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

@MiamiGarageClassics thanks for the quick response. Are there any maintenance records that document mileage of this vehicle over its life? Or any engine work it’s been done? Head studs for example

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@Rswarts1 The odometer is indeed in KM, about the reason for this, that was the odometer in the car when we received it.
About the flares, per the location of the union inside the wheel well, looks like they are extensions.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@M491 I don't think it's water damage, the headline looks very good pretty much all around, but there are some loosenes on the leather close to the upper part of the B pillar area on its way back to the rear glass.
This is more noticeable on the passenger side.

  • Rswarts1 (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

Am I missing why the miles are in KM and not miles? Also since you realized the flares are metal does that mean they’re extensions or full quarters? Any seam under the wheel well

  • M491 1 week, 3 daysago

Why does the headliner appear to be water damaged?

  • elwood1060 1 week, 3 daysago

Really? Nice car. Why the bidders are trying to picking about your car? Looks pretty good to me.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@RobWhittier We just did a magnet test, and we can confirm they are all metal.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@Gefiltefunk Original rocker panels and sport seats are no longer with the car unfortunately.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@eunos1990 I just double checked and you are totally right, looks like the flares were added.
I did check with a magnet and they are all metal.
    Sorry for our previous mistake.

  • RobWhittier (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

Could you please confirm that the rear fenders are steel via a magnet?

  • Gefiltefunk (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

COA mentions “aluminum rocker panels as well as sport seats”
This doesn’t appear to retain either feature.
Agree with the comments re the flairs or shall I say that they aren’t stock.

@MiamiGarageClassics I'm sorry but the flares are not stock. The 1974-77 911 and 911S models are commonly referred to as narrow body mid-years. Only the rare 911 Carrera had the flares as seen on this S model. It is a popular modification to add the flares, either in fiberglass or steel. I think you could use a fridge magnet near the rear wheel arch to check for fiberglass versus steel. And if these flares are "extensions", not full quarters, you might be able to remove a wheel and look for the "seam" inside the well. Also, this 911S is either a true "slick top", or a sunroof delete car. The delete implies someone used a metal, fiberglass, or carbon fiber panel and welded or bonded it in place of the sunroof. Inexperience would show with a "wavy" appearance of the roof. Otherwise, the only way to check would be a careful peek under the headliner. Anyway, GLWTA!

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@haasfogle Good morning, the rear flares on this car are completely stock. Not sure what you mean.
Let me know if you'd like to see any specific pictures not included here in the auction.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@posix Good morning, we don't know why they are not there unfortunately, we received the car with the exhaust system as it is at the moment.

  • haasfogle (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

surprised the rear flares haven't been questioned.
are the fiberglass, welded extensions or replacement quarters?

  • posix (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

@MiamiGarageClassics, why are there no heat exchangers…

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 4 daysago

    @Slim_Chance Great comment, thank you!
To the bidders, please check picture 116 for the CoA for this car.
This car is a no-sunroof car from factory.

  • Slim_Chance 1 week, 4 daysago

There is no such option as "sunroof delete; they either had one as an option of they didn't. The S/R delete expression is made up for "cool points" and total BS. Most sunroof cars turned into S/R deleted cars aren't done to a high standard either. I wouldn't touch one of these unless I had seen the work involved to do it correctly.
There was a time when a sunroof brought more money, especially on pre'74 cars. By '78 Porsche was slapping them on most cars coming to the US (nice option premium) so a car without one was kind of rare.
FWIW: A roll bar should be added to any cut car.

@Chunkyknuckles Hello again, to our knowledge, the phrasing ''sun roof delete'' is how these cars not optioned with a sun roof from factory are named within the Porsche community. I'm pretty sure there are more experts in this community that can add on this.

  • Nunzio44 (registered bidder) 1 week, 4 daysago

I noticed that the car has exhaust headers.Does the heat work without the heat exchangers ?

  • Chunkyknuckles (registered bidder) 1 week, 6 daysago

@MiamiGarageClassics Ok I’m looking for clarification because the FB marketplace ad mentions a sun roof delete.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 week, 6 daysago

@Chunkyknuckles Good morning, yes this car was not optioned with a sunroof from factory. Which is very uncommon for US Porsche's.

  • Chunkyknuckles (registered bidder) 1 week, 6 daysago

@miamigarageclassics when you say this is a non sun roof coupe or rare slick top, is this non sun roof from the factory or was a sun roof delete done?

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 2 weeksago

@J-911 Good morning, videos are uploaded now

  • Rock-Moto (registered bidder) 2 weeksago

I don't know if its the pics but the body work and paint look really bad

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 2 weeks, 1 dayago

@J-911 We'll be reaching the Pcarmarket team on this, we provided all the videos but looks like the were not added to the auction. I'm sure they'll be fixing this very soon.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 2 weeks, 1 dayago

@zuch Good morning, unfortunately, we don't have any extra parts with this car.
About the AC system, the front condenser is still installed in the car, and looks like the hoses are still in place.

  • J-911 (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 1 dayago

Will you possibly be putting up a cold start and driving video?

  • J-911 2 weeks, 2 daysago

Bid in the amount of $2,500

  • zuch (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 2 daysago

Do you still have the AC components and the sports seats?
