We are pleased to present this 1977 Porsche 911S Targa.  Purchased new in March of 1977, this top-of-the-line 911S Targa model was optioned with Sienna Metallic Special Paint, leather seating, a leather steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, additional speakers, and Fuchs wheels.  It is said to have remained under the care of its original owner up until 2016 when its last owner acquired the car and subsequently commissioned over $7k worth of service including rebuilt brake calipers, new fuel injectors, ignition components, catalytic converters, shock absorbers, and more.  Described as being very well preserved and with barely any miles covered since its major service, this final year 911S Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio while showing approximately 56k miles on the odometer.

This 911S was ordered in the rare special paint color of Sienna Metallic at an additional cost of $420 in 1977.  It features a classic stainless steel Targa bar as well as chrome headlight bezels, impact bumpers, and a single driver’s side mirror.  Some signs of wear and patina are noted on the finish as well as a flaw on the front bumper which was touched up by the original owner.  Paint meter readings are said to measure between 2.5 and 6 microns through the exterior, additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  This Targa rides on factory 15” Fuchs alloy wheels dressed in Pirelli P6000 tires which were mounted in 2016 and with very few miles driven since.

Inside, this Targa features optional leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, additional speakers in the rear, and an original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.  Some slight wear is noted on the seat bolsters and the cabin is described to have been kept in highly original condition.  All gauges and accessories are also reported to be fully functional.

This 911S carries a fuel-injected 2.7L flat-six engine that delivers as much as 165 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox.  During its major service in 2016, this Targa received an oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, rebuilt brake calipers, new brake hoses, hood struts, a new fuel filter, fuel injectors and O-rings, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, a new battery, new catalytic converters, new struts and shocks, and rebuilt brake calipers.  A leak down and compression test is also said to have been carried out at this time with satisfactory results.

This sale will include a toolkit and a clean title.  A nicely preserved Targa offered in a rare color and with a generous accompaniment of factory options, this 1977 911S makes a fine selection for any air-cooled purist.

@rpk55 In person those panels don't look different. The paint meter readings suggest there has been no paint work no the vehicle other than the touch up paint on the front bumper that has been disclosed. Yes, you're welcome to see the vehicle here. Ask for Steven Y. Thank you.

In the photos the rear deck lid appears to be a different color than the fenders. Had it been repainted at some point, or is this just the lighting in the photos? Is the car available for viewing at the dealership?
