We are pleased to offer this 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo finished in Black over a black interior. Beginning with one of only 727 U.S. market examples produced for the model year, this 1977 Turbo has been transformed with an all-steel Slant Nose body conversion along with an upgraded 3.3L engine custom built by Don Jackson Enterprises with a K27 turbocharger, B&B oil cooler, 4” stainless steel exhaust, and more. The car has also been modified with Recaro bucket seats, upgraded air conditioning, a MOMO steering wheel, and cross-drilled brake rotors. The car is estimated to produce over 400 HP at the rear wheels and has been driven approximately 10k miles since the completion of the work. Currently on display as part of America’s oldest car collection at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, this 930 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts. Net proceeds of the auction will be donated to the museum.
This 930 was previously refinished in the current shade of Black and customized with an all-steel Slant Nose body conversion including distinctive flat front fenders with pop-up headlights, boxed rocker panels, and a revised front valence with integrated fog lights. The original Turbo Carrera Whale Tail was also replaced in favor of a later-style Tea Tray rear spoiler. The rear valence was recently refinished and the seller notes some stone chips along the front end, additional images are provided in the photo gallery. This Turbo rides on a set of 18” Kinesis three-piece wheels dressed in Continental Extreme Contact tires.
Inside, the black leather interior has been customized with Recaro bucket seats, Schroth 4-point safety harnesses, a MOMO Sport steering wheel, and a carbon fiber MOMO shift knob. Other modifications include white instrument dials, aluminum pedals, and an aftermarket Alpine radio with a custom rear speaker box. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to remain functional including the air conditioning which has been upgraded with Griffiths components.
This 930 has been equipped with a custom-built 3.3L flat-six engine by Don Jackson Enterprises featuring an upgraded K27 turbocharger, 911SC cams, a B&B front-mounted oil cooler, and a custom 4” stainless steel exhaust. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission. The brakes have also been upgraded with cross-drilled rotors. The engine build is said to have been completed within the last 10k miles and the car has been recently serviced with new sway bar bushings along with new brake lines, a brake master cylinder, and a new battery. A corresponding invoice for the recent service is provided in the photo gallery and the seller is in the process of creating a full driving video to be added soon.

@Bearden04 the conversion was done long before we had it, and the previous owner had it.
As research suggests, this was a “common”
Thing after the mid 80s factory slant nose came out. So you can assume this happened in the 90s. The work does appear to be quite good!
The car is a modified 1977, so it doesn’t fall into any warranty-able categories. We did go through the entire car and gave it a clean bill of health after about $5k worth of work. You can see the work we did in the attached repair orders

@Jake7 we’ve had the car for a couple of months. @pcarmarket is aware, because we tried to list the car when we got it, but with parts delays, it’s taken way too long! Car has been in the museum for maybe 10 days?

@HlPlinker Tedward is always quite nice to our cars and doesn’t beat the crap out of them. Especially one that is a bit older, as he is a 911 guy. The car pulls like a freight train, I’ve driven it, I get the widow maker nick-name. So, no, I do not have a video of the car using everybody bit of the RPM range.
Beautiful car. I have a question as to the driving video. Every shift was engaged under 4k RPMs.
I have owned two turbo cars and I easily pull over 6000 RPMs "nearly instantly" with less mods, the factory spool, Long neck intercooler and 1 BAR spring and Fabspeed exhaust. This car seems to not pull much at all (based on the visual RPMs as the car is under a load.

@jcapraro666 the car is on display at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, so I am unable to put it on a lift, will do our best to have someone over there get under it. However, the car was dry underneath and free of any rust or rot (other than your usual atmospherical caused nuts an bolts with surface rust as all older cars have)

@sculptedmetal Thank you! This car has a 3.3 liter custom built motor The original motor was not retained
The nose of course is not original paint. The remainder of the car appears to be original, and the car shows no signs of accidents.
We have some pieces of paperwork, everything we have will be included. This car came to us in trade, not the original owner or modifier of the car. But we have gone through the entire car and given it a clear bill of health!
@BostonMotorsports1: fantastic presentation of this car! A few questions. I understand the motor is modified, but it is also not numbers matching motor, correct? Will the buyer receive the original paperwork for the previous mods. done to the car? Does the air conditioner actually blow cold - more than the usual 'air-cooled' cold? Is this original paint or have there been any accidents? Thank you again for a great presentation!

@Rwatford I see what you’re seeing. In person, and under the lights of the detail bay, I didn’t notice that. I think it’s possible that something in the background (looks the same in both pics) is throwing it off. But I will double check before the auction ends
@BostonMotorsports1 - Love the conversion but curious on the paint…in pictures 15 and 22, on both the door and fenders, it looks like there is some nasty orange peel. You can really see it when you look at the reflection of the light posts. The paint overall looks really great. Is it just an optical illusion? Thanks!

@Bearden04 sure. It’s our internal system, it gets billed to the car, not to ourselves, so no money changes hands. It just ups the cost of the car itself. So it comes up as $0 on paperwork. I can get an actual dollar amount if that helps!

The intercooler is offer a later model 930
