This 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe was completed in May 1977, finished in Apple Green over a Cork partial leather interior. It has been refinished in White and features an optional sunroof as well as a fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. Said to have undergone a full engine rebuild in 1999 by the well-known engine builder Paul Weir, this 911S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina with approximately 155k miles on the odometer and accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

This 911S is said to have been refinished in the current white paint during the early 1980s from its extremely rare factory color of Apple Green (P6). It features silver anodized window trim as well as a factory sunroof and rectangular front fog lights. Other details include body-colored headlight rings, a polished exhaust outlet, a driver’s side mirror, and 15” Fuchs wheels dressed in BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 tires from 2022. The seller notes some paint imperfections and some remnants of the original Apple Green finish are present.

The Cork partial leather interior was completely reupholstered in September 2014. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, brown velour carpets, a leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, manual window cranks, and an aftermarket radio. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly.

Power is derived from an air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six which is said to have been fully rebuilt by the renowned engine builder Paul Weir. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed 915 manual transmission. The seller states the second gear synchro grinds above 3,500 rpm and the driver-side valve cover gasket is seeping some oil. A host of service documentation dating back to August of 1977 is said to accompany the sale.

This sale will include a clean title, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and some documentation.

The seller would like you to know: “We are proud to offer this 1977 Porsche 911S. The vehicle comes with a binder full of records going back to August of 1977 and includes a full engine rebuild in 1999 done by the well-known engine builder, Paul Weir. It appears to have been repainted in the early 1980s, this was common as the flashy bright colors of the 1970s went out of style and most 911s were repainted White, Red, or Black. The paint shows signs of failure as shown in the photos, the original paint can be seen poking through in several areas. Apple Green was an extremely rare color on this car and redoing the car in the original color would add tremendous value. The interior was recently redone in the original Cork and shows extremely well. The 915 transmission and 2.7L engine appear to be original to the car.”

Good morning everyone! Coming down to the final hours of bidding on our '77. Looking forward to seeing this example make its way into deserving hands. We will be next to the car for the remainder of the auction, please let us know if you'd like to see anything further. Additional driving videos have been uploaded for you to review.

To reiterate, we are happy to help coordinate transportation to the winning bidder (both enclosed or open air).

We think Rennbow puts it best "Porsche Apple Green is so rare, that it has a near mythical status." This is your chance to grab a real unicorn in the wild that has a stout binder full of service records since new.

We're looking forward to handing over the keys to this examples next caretaker!
