We are pleased to present this numbers matching 1977 Porsche 911 S coupe finished in Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. With a recent $5k service performed along with a handful of period correct updates including new Koni adjustable shocks, H4 headlights, and a glass-out refinish, this well-presented 911 S is ready to be driven and enjoyed by a new owner. It is now being offered out of Martin, TN with 53k miles showing on the odometer.
The Silver Metallic exterior finish is stated to be in very nice condition. The seller states that this 911 is the beneficiary of a complete glass-out refinish with all new rubber seals installed. Additionally, this example has been equipped with European taillights, new bumper guards, and a set of original 15” X 6” Fuchs wheel that have been refinished by Al Reed.
The original black leather interior is said to be in nice condition and features factory leather comfort seats. Please view the gallery photos for a true depiction of this vehicle’s interior. All electronics and gauges are said to be in working order including the original Blaupunkt head unit and tachometer that has been rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer. The seller notes that the air conditioning system has been removed but will be included with the sale.
This 911 S retains its original, numbers matching 2.7 L flat-six engine that features a CIS pop-off valve, chain tensioner guards and upgraded turbo valve covers. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of an original 915 5-speed manual transmission that features all new shift bushings and a new clutch cable. A recent service was performed by Renntag Motorwerks in Nashville TN in which the following items were carried out:
- New engine oil cooler
- New oil level sender
- New fluids and filters
- Installation of Dansk muffler
- Replaced sunroof and deflector cable
The seller also notes that the brake calipers have been rebuilt by PMB Performance along with a recent replacement of the battery and alternator. This 911S is said to be in great running and driving condition.
The sale of this 911 S will include two keys, factory books, service records, jack, tool kit, air conditioning system components and an aftermarket tire inflator.

@mulsanne79 No documentation other than prior owner and overall condition of the car is consistent with the low mileage. Compression and leak down done by Renntag Motorwerks in April 2020. All in spec., compression 150 psi and 15 % leak down. Numbers were done with a cold engine, would expect to improve with engine at operating temperature.

As the owner of two mid year 911's (74-77), this one seems to check all the boxes. Light weight, more toss able than later SC's or 3.2's, more fun to drive.

Additional information. The April 2020 service at Renntag Motorwerks included a tune up, lowered to European specifications and four wheel alignment, replace a leaking engine oil cooler and replace a faulty CIS accumulator, repair and adjust emergency brake. Engine was inspected and no broken or pulled head studs.
