The 924 Porsche Martini Championship Edition was introduced as a tribute to the marque’s 1976 World Sportscar Championship victory, its fourth title since 1969. Each was finished in Polar White with race-inspired Martini livery, body-colored wheels, and a special interior featuring red, black, and blue accents. This 1977 example was sparingly driven and kept in hangar storage by a single family until the current owner's acquisition in 2024. It is now being offered for auction on behalf of the seller out of Connecticut with approximately 24k miles showing on the odometer.

The 924 Martini Championship Edition was exclusively offered in Polar White with a contrasting stripe package inspired by Martini & Rossi’s iconic racing livery as well as body-colored 14” eight-spoke alloy wheels. The seller notes areas of paint fading, some rust around the fenders, and that the original tires show wear. However, the headlights and marker lights are said to remain functional. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the black vinyl interior presents red cloth seat inserts, blue seat piping, Martini-striped headrests, and red carpeting. A center console plaque honors Porsche’s championship years with the inscription, “Weltmeister / World champion / Champion du monde / Campione del mondo – 1969/1970/1971/1976/.” The seller recommends a full detailing, along with the replacement of the shift boot and driver’s side seatbelt.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter inline-four engine equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. A 4-speed manual transmission drives the rear wheels. The seller states a recent tune-up was performed by CK Diagnostics in Pleasant Valley, New York, which included cleaning and reassembling the intake system, cleaning the K-Jetronic fuel distributor and injectors, servicing the fuel system, draining and treating the gas tank, and completing a general tune-up. The brakes are said to require attention, and replacement of the rear glass hatch struts is recommended.

This sale will include a clean title, a toolkit, a spare tire, and some documentation.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a true 'barn find' car that happened to be found in an airplane hanger, as the original owner was a pilot. It's being presented as it was found. It was owned by a man in Vermont and passed on to his wife, who sold it to the current owner in February 2024. The current owner/seller is a Porsche collector and racer and was advised on this car by a friend who owns a Porsche race shop in Vermont. The seller got it running but has never registered it or put any real miles on it. This is a great start for somebody looking to restore a cool version of a 924.”

Does the fuel gauge work? How about wiper motor front and rear?
    Thanks

Thanks for rust info, as an owner and a lover of this model a couple observations, a USA example with headlight washers and rear wiper plus it appears this is an AC car is extremely rare. The gas cap is not original and some championship round decals have been added but such minor changes from original after 48 years is amazing.

@uscarrera the rocker rust is the only place where I would be approaching the fix from a cut away and replace perspective.. Undercarriage is surface. Wheel wells could be cleaned up prior to paint if that was your plan. While this was a VT car for the 24k miles it got used, Its spent most of its life in a hanger. Its all very salvageable. And yes, the interior the real gem here. Thanks for the questions. Hope this helps some.

Based on pictures obviously car spent most of its life in northern weather would you be able to provide details as to the extend of rust and corrosion, exhaust is obvious but trying to determine scope of undercarriage parts, wheel wells, and lower rocker panels. Thanks
