Up for auction is this 1978 Porsche 911 SC Targa.  A staple in Porsche history, the Porsche Targa was an extremely innovative design that blended aspects of both a coupe and convertible.  Featuring a few tasteful upgrades, new clutch, a recent engine rebuild, and many factory options, this example provides an excellent opportunity to own one of Porsche's most iconic sports cars.  Currently residing in Ohio, the seller is offering this Targa in turn-key condition with just 66k miles showing on the odometer.

The classic guards red paint is stated to be in exceptional condition showing minimal wear.  The seller states that a few panels were professionally resprayed, bringing it back to the high-level it is currently in.  Please reference the photo gallery for detailed pictures of the exterior.  From factory, this Targa is equipped with a set of special ordered chrome finished Fuchs wheels that wear new tires.  A brand new Targa top has been installed and shows to be fully intact with virtually no wear.  Additionally, a new headlamp assembly has been installed along with an added factory whale tail.

The factory black partial leather interior is also stated to be in great condition with only typical wear showing such as creasing on the front seats.  This Targa was ordered with factory options such as power seats, mirrors, windows, door locks, steering, and air conditioning.  As per the seller, this interior also features a handful of newly added components such as new interior seals, a re-wrapped steering wheel, and an upgraded Alpine radio w/USB port.  All electronics are stated to work as they should.

Originally a 3.0L engine, a few light upgrades were implemented which boosted the displacement to a 3.2L.  With six new barrels, six new pistons and a new clutch cable, performance is not an issue with this Targa.  This completely re-built engine is said to be in top running condition and is connected to a smooth 5-speed manual transmission.  The seller states that over $20k was spent on work performed by highly respected Porsche technicians at Protech based out of Greenville, SC.  Receipts of all work will be provided with the sale.

The sale will include factory books, one master key and one valet key.  Don't miss your opportunity to own a well-sorted Targa
