The cabin presents blue leather seats with matching door panels and carpeting, complemented with polished wood trim. The equipment also includes a wood-rimmed 3-spoke steering wheel, an upgraded Mercedes-Benz radio, a front folding armrest, power windows, automatic climate control, and a locking glovebox. Some leather cracking is noted, while all gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

The 450SL is powered by a Bosh K-Jetronic mechanically fuel-injected 4.5-liter V8 that produces up to 180 HP and 220 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission, and the car is stopped by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

We don’t have very much documentation, but if you look at the undercarriage and all of the areas surrounding a vehicle that would be restored or worn, you can see that this one is not that at all
A clean original and it drives like a new car

@ReverMotors Do you have any paperwork to substantiate the mileage and ‘very well kept’.
Service documents regarding timing chain, motor mounts, transmission etc…

Obviously a European car that had to be imported to the USA.
Seller; Please advise import information as to when and how converted per USA requirements.
I imported a very similar Sl many years ago nd it required door beams be added to meet side impact requirements, and at that time I had to install the four eye USA headlights and to convert the odometer to miles from KMeters. My importer messed up the headlight alignment and the KM to MPH conversion badly.
THis car brings bck memories of the one i sold after 15 years.
Which is why my purchase interest.

Mercedes SL built the way the designers intended.
No ugly 5 mph bumpers as dictated by our government
No four-eye headlights, when two single headlamps will serve just as well, and look much cleaner.

@Rockster80 Thank you for your compliment. This car drives as good as it looks. The European bumpers are a nice touch in addition to those headlights. The car is subtle and simple as a great driving experience with classic styling.
