We are pleased to offer this impeccable 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo finished in Black Metallic over a Cork leather interior.  Representing one of the most iconic and desirable air-cooled cars of all time, this 930 has been kept in superb, highly original condition with just over 22k miles currently showing on the odometer.  The perfect choice for any discerning collector, this 930 is now being offered by its seller in Arizona accompanied by a complete collection of service records, original documentation, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

The Black Metallic paint on this Turbo is reported to be in excellent original condition with only minor signs of road-going wear most notably on the rear stone guards.  Reported to have spent nearly its entire life in an arid climate, all rubber seals are said to be in great shape along with the underbody (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  This Turbo is characterized by its factory widebody, front spoiler, and signature Tea Tray rear decklid.  Original Fuchs wheels are equipped and have been recently dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

The desirable Cork leather interior is said to be preserved in exceptional condition.  A Blaupunkt CD changer was installed in the front trunk and the seller indicates this 930 to be otherwise stock with all gauges and accessories working properly including the original radio.

Power comes from an air-cooled 3.3 L turbocharged flat-six engine which is rated at 265 HP and 291 lb.-ft of torque stock.  The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual gearbox with limited-slip differential allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5.5 seconds.  An upgraded exhaust system has also been installed providing improved sound and power output.  This 930 is said to have undergone all necessary service to maintain excellent running order and a complete collection of records will be included in the sale.

This sale will include a set of 2 keys, the original books, tools, and spare tire, the original stereo booklet, complete service records, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.  This beautifully presented and highly original 930 makes the perfect complement to any world-class Porsche collection, do not miss out.

    @Holoholo52 Hello,

The car was originally delivered to a California Porsche dealer. The car spent a couple of years in North Carolina with the original owner. The car went to second owner in Nevada and now Arizona. I do not have the original exhaust.

    Thanks
    Thanks

  • Scolar827 (registered bidder) 3 years, 4 monthsago

@DasAuto602 are you able to upload cold start and driving videos? Also, it would be helpful to see the service records individually (not a stack). Thanks!

  • TangerineT (registered bidder) 3 years, 4 monthsago

I loathe black cars, but I find this black metallic absolutely stunning. Almost looks more like a very charcoal gray. Beautiful machine. GLWA.

  • 1966corvette (registered bidder) 3 years, 4 monthsago

Can it be viewed locally? I am in 85253 paradise valley.

  • Holoholo52 (registered bidder) 3 years, 4 monthsago

Was this car a California delivered car? How many owners? Was this always an AZ car?
If by any chance is the original exhaust system available? I rather doubt it but just asking.
Had one like it before brand new in 79 with black interior. Ahh if we only could forsee the future. Would appreciate your answers. Thanks

  • DasAuto602 (seller) 3 years, 4 monthsago

@gassian I believe it may. I know California is far more particular than Arizona. This cars age allows to bypass emissions in Arizona.
