The Porsche 911SC, produced from 1978 to 1983, derives its name from "Super Carrera" and is powered by a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine. This 1979 example is finished in Silver Metallic over Black upholstery and features an optional limited-slip differential, a sunroof, and added Martini-style racing stripes. Acquired by the seller in 2014, it has since undergone major services in 2017 and 2023, along with additional maintenance. Showing approximately 140k miles on the odometer, this 911SC is being offered for auction out of California.
This Coupe is finished in Silver Metallic with added Martini-style racing decals and black “PORSCHE” side stripes. Equipment includes bright window trim, European-market H4 headlights, European-style taillight lenses, and factory 16” Fuchs wheels wrapped in new front tires and rear tires with approximately 45% tread remaining. The seller notes some areas including the front and rear bumpers have been refinished, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Black partial leather upholstery modified with a Racemark three-spoke steering wheel. Equipment includes a sunroof, power windows, power-adjustable exterior mirrors, an upgraded Kenwood radio, and black Porsche-lettered floor mats. The seller adds that the headliner, dashboard, and front seats were redone at 100k miles. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly, and the original steering wheel will accompany the sale.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter flat-six engine, sending up to 180 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. A limited-slip differential is said to have been factory-optioned. The seller states the following services were performed under their ownership:
