Available for auction is this 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe finished in Black.  This 1979 example was acquired by the current owner out of Southern California in November of 2019 and is said to have been previously fitted with a replacement 3.0L flat-six engine sourced from a 1981 911SC.  It has also been modified with front and rear spoilers and rocker panel deletes along with custom gold and carbon fiber accents throughout the interior.  Currently showing approximately 213k miles on the odometer with less than 80k miles reported on the replacement motor, this 911SC is being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This 911SC comes finished in black and features front and rear Turbo-style spoilers that were installed under prior ownership.  The seller notes that the exterior has been polished and ceramic coated and reports a small ding on the driver-side rear quarter panel.  Some fastener holes are also present from where the rocker panels were previously mounted.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery.  The factory 16” Fuchs wheels come dressed in Hankook Ventus V12 tires showing date codes from 2013.

Inside, the black leather interior has been customized with gold and carbon fiber accents throughout the dashboard as well as updated 993-generation air vents. A custom hidden stereo system has also been installed with component speakers and a subwoofer mounted beneath the seat.  A few tears are noted in the headliner and the seller confirms all instrumentation and accessories to be working properly apart from the oil level gauge, heat, and air conditioning.

Power comes from a replacement 3.0L flat-six engine sourced from a later model 1981 911SC.  Approximately 180 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed 915 manual transmission.  Some minor leaks are reported from the engine and transmission, and the seller states that routine oil services have been carried out during their ownership as well as a compression test in September of 2021.

This sale will include a clean title. A well-enjoyed and tastefully modified 911SC, this 1979 example makes an ideal driver's car for any air-cooled Porsche enthusiast.

@mike.l yes I had it smog checked earlier this year for this current registration.

@porschedude996tt thank you for reaching out. The damage with the hole and tape is on the lower part of the turbo tail, on the drivers side. If you view picture #28 you will see the tape covering the hole. This was how the car was when I purchased it and I always planned to replace the deck lid with a stock look or ducktail.

The only other body damage/body work that I am aware of is along the place where the factory rocker panels were removed by the previous owner.

I hope this is helpful, if you have any other questions or concerns please let me know.

Where on the car is what looks to be a bullet hole?

Lots of bondo, what areas have you discovered body work?

In the interest of transparency I do want to mention that the A/C and Heat are currently not operational. Those systems were not operational when I purchased the vehicle, but I do have the original dash control unit that comes with the car. The custom dash does have cutouts behind the carbon fiber to reinstall the controller and if you plan to use the optional electric A/C unit from Classic Retro there is a cutout for that power switch as well.

Hey everyone sad to let this car go, but I am excited to see it go to a new home. Please let me know if you have any questions or need specific photos. Happy bidding!
