This 1979 Porsche 911SC was modified under the care of its previous owner with IROC/RS body styling along with upgraded suspension, a custom interior, gold Fuchs wheels, and a 3.2-liter Carrera engine featuring several performance enhancements. After the build was completed in 2016, the car was acquired by the current owner and subsequently underwent a repaint in matte silver along with the installation of new interior pieces and a recent top-end engine rebuild. This custom 911SC is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Wisconsin.

The bodywork of this Coupe has been modified with fiberglass IROC-style bumpers and a ducktail rear spoiler along with drilled door handles, LED headlights, and a sunroof-delete panel. It was refinished in the current matte silver color in 2018 and rides on a set of gold 17” Fuchs-style wheels dressed in Toyo Proxes R1R tires. Some normal signs of road-going wear are noted including rock chips on the front end. Additional images are provided in the gallery.

The interior has been fitted with new lightweight RS carpeting along with custom seat covers, a roll bar, RS-style door panels, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, a WEVO shifter, and Rennline aluminum pedals and floorboards. The heating, A/C, and speakers have been removed and the seller reports the oil gauge lags, the tachometer sporadically jumps, and the fuel-level gauge is inaccurate.

Power comes from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine upgraded with a front-mounted RSR oil cooler, high-flow air filter, stainless-steel headers, and a Stinger exhaust system. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle and the car rides on upgraded suspension featuring larger torsion bars, a strut brace, and Koni shock absorbers. A top-end engine rebuild is said to have been completed within the last 60 miles including all new fluids, belts, spark plugs, ignition wires, and fuel lines. The seller notes the head bolts will need to be re-torqued after 200 miles.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, and some miscellaneous parts.

The seller would like you to know: “Fun light car. handles and drives well.”
