The car was acquired by the seller earlier in 2024 and is now being offered for auction out of Florida accompanied by extensive service records and a numbers-matching Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

This 930 is finished in Silver Metallic with Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders, a front chin spoiler, and a “tea tray” rear spoiler. Other equipment includes an optional power-adjustable passenger-side mirror, an electric sunroof, chrome window moldings, a rear window wiper, black stone guard decals, front fog lights, headlamps washers, and 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. Service records show the sunroof seals and fog light bulbs were replaced in 2023. The seller notes the car’s exterior has been completely refinished, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, this 911 Turbo features Black leather upholstery with matching carpets and Sport Seats.  Accessories include a three-spoke leather steering wheel, black carpet floor mats with red Turbo script, a heater, air conditioning, power windows, a locking glovebox, a quartz clock, a tachometer with an integrated boost gauge, and an original Porsche Blaupunkt radio. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are fully functional.

This 930 features a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine originally rated at 265 HP and 291 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. The car has been modified with an upgraded oil cooler, a Fabspeed intercooler and exhaust, a TiAL 46mm wastegate, and a K27 hybrid turbocharger. Invoices show the cylinder heads were rebuilt and upgraded with bronze valve guides and a competition valve job in 2009. Other invoices show an engine-out service with an updated chain tensioner kit and valve cover gaskets in 2019, new spark plugs in 2021, a new brake booster and master cylinder in 2022, and another engine-out service in 2023 with a new clutch and flywheel, fuel pump, fuel lines, and more. Corresponding records are provided in the gallery.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

@gefiltefunk Goood afternoon. You are correct. The tire size they take is 245/45/16. This car is wearing 245/50/16 which is the same width of tire just has a tiny bit taller side wall. The difference is minimal and the car runs great.

  • Gefiltefunk (registered bidder) 1 monthago

Please correct me if I’m wrong but the rear tire size though likely fine is incorrect. These should be 225/50/16 or 245/45/ 16? The rear tires on this car appear to be 245/50/16

@lada03 Good afternoon. What you hear is not a rattle, it is the back pressure of the exhaust as the RPM's go down. Its one of the best sounds to listen to when you're driving the car.

  • lada03 (registered bidder) 1 monthago

    Hello
In the videos as you are driving and slowing down, i hear a rattle. What is that?

Hello Everyone! I have Uploaded photos of Paint meter readings to the Gallery. @targahawk

  • AirCooledLife (seller) 1 monthago

@targahawk Good morning. The car is a full body respray that was done before we acquired it. The finish is very good and the job was done correctly.

  • targahawk (registered bidder) 1 monthago

@AirCooledLife Is there any panels you believe have been repainted? Paint meter photos available?

  • AirCooledLife (seller) 1 monthago

Good Morning Everyone. Hope you are all having a great day! @longboarder I took the Gauge out this morning and discovered a loose connection. I plugged it in nice and snug and it now works perfectly. This explains the intermittent operation. Nothing Broken, Just a loose wire. I have uploaded a video showing it in full operation. Thank you again and Happy Bidding to all!

@longboarder Good afternoon. We noticed the Speedometer sometimes sticks and doesn't go. As part of the sale, we will send that out and have it repaired so it works properly. That is not unusual on these older cars. But I commit to the new owner that it will be addressed before they receive their new car.

  • longboarder (registered bidder) 1 monthago

@AirCooledLife Thanks for the driving video. Do you have any information for how long the speedometer has been inoperable? And what is the impact on the stated mileage of 113k?

  • AirCooledLife (seller) 1 monthago

Good afternoon everyone. Driving video has been uploaded. Enjoy!!

  • AirCooledLife (seller) 1 monthago

  • AirCooledLife (seller) 1 monthago

@longboarder yes. I will be making it on Monday and posting it right away. I’ll let you know when it’s up. Thank you.

Good morning everyone. One point to bring up, which I think we missed, is that all the original components of the car (Oil cooler, Exhaust, turbo etc) come included with the sale of the vehicle. I will upload photos of the parts soon but they are here. Thank you @longboarder for bringing it up. Have a great day all and Happy Bidding!

  • AirCooledLife (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@ljpviper Good morning, The paint on this car has a great finish. There is no orange peel.

  • longboarder (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

usually with these 40+ year old 930's we get some underside photos to understand if there is rust. Also being in California I was hoping to see a factory catalytic converter. thx.

  • ljpviper (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

How is the paint on this car? I saw a similar car for sale in West Palm last May. Not sure if it's the same car but it was repainted and had orange peel all over the hood and roof. Thanks

@markiemark This is really an amazing car. Sounds great and really fun to drive. We have posted around 25 copies of service records upto 2022. That is what we have.

  • markiemark (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

Hello Haven't seen any Current Service Records can you post them ? Sweet Lookin 930

  • Handsofstone (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

I am definitely not a Porsche expert, but graduating high school in 1980 I remember probably a Car and Driver magazine, (Man they were great to read....couldn't wait to read them) that did a review of the 79 Turbo 911. I ate it up. It wasn't till later in life that I bought my 1st Porsche....a 968 Cabriolet. Bought another 968 Cab and had a 1981 928 Euro S and then.........a 1997 Triple Black 911. These cars have one of the best dashes of all time. There are a few other cars of different makes that I also believe are....historical cars.....this is one. I need to keep my eye on it. I will have some questions on this beauty as time moves forward. GLWTA
