This 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo RoW example comes finished in black over a matching leather interior. It features several upgrades including a 935-style body kit including a fiberglass slant nose conversion, a rear wing, and brake ducts on the rear quarters. Additional upgrades include a full racing-style cage, 5-point harnesses, Sports seats, and upgraded suspension and brakes. Having been serviced in preparation for this sale, this 930 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing just over 44k miles on its odometer.
This 930 was originally finished in Petrol Blue (376) and was refinished in its current shade of black under previous ownership. It features a 935-style conversion including a front bumper with fog lights, fiberglass fenders, a rear wing, and brake cooling ducts in the rear quarter panels. The seller notes minor paint imperfections, and additional images can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of gold-finished 16” mesh wheels with polished lips, which come dressed in a set of Riken Raptor tires.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather and features factory-equipped Sports seats. The seats are said to have been recently reupholstered and a powder-coated racing-style full has been installed. Details include Porsche-branded floor mats, Racequip 5-point racing harnesses, G-Force Racing Gear roll bar padding, power windows, VDO instrumentation, a sunroof, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional with the exception of the boost gauge.
Power comes from a turbocharged and inter-cooled 3.3-liter flat-six-cylinder engine. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller cannot confirm the originality of the engine but states that the engine number is 6790473. Other performance features include upgrades to the cooling system, racing-style dampers and bushings, and brake calipers from a more Modern Porsche model. In preparation for this sale, a general service is said to have been carried out including a full tune-up, oil and filter service, an inspection of the electrical systems, and a new fuel filter.
