Introduced in 1980, the Ferrari 308 GTSi was the first of the 308’s to offer Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. With less than 2,000 examples produced before the introduction of the Quattrovalvole variant in 1982, each GTSi was equipped with a 5-speed gated manual shifter and a limited-slip differential. This inaugural-year GTSi comes finished in Blu Sera Metallic and was originally configured for sale in California. Acquired from the estate of its long-term previous owner, this classic Ferrari is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia with approximately 81k miles on the odometer.
The 308's bodywork was styled by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina, who is responsible for some of Ferrari's most celebrated designs including the Daytona, Dino, Berlinetta Boxer, and F40. This Targa-topped Spider comes finished in a striking Blu Sera Metallic finish with a black removable roof panel. Some paint imperfections and cracks in the bumpers are noted, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. It rides on factory 7.5x14” alloy wheels dressed in new Hankook Ventus V2 concept 2 tires.
The driver is situated in a Beige Connolly leather interior with matching carpets and a black leather dashboard and door handles. Equipment includes a traditional gated shifter, quartz analog clock, air conditioning, power-adjustable windows, and a heated rear window. The seller notes the power windows are very slow to operate and describes signs of wear including a tear on the lower driver's seat bolster.
Power comes from a Tipo 106 V8 engine equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and Marelli MED 803A Digiplex electronic ignition. As much as 202 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller states that recent maintenance items include an oil service and fluid replacement, and a host of service documentation is available dating back to the 1980s. The brake hydraulics are recommended for replacement, and the seller has offered to accommodate an in-person inspection for any interested bidders during the auction.
This sale will include a clean title, the original window sticker, a toolkit, and a host of documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “This gorgeous rare blue 308 gts is an all original all matching all stock singe-family-owned car for the life of the car in California. It includes the actual original sticker invoice from the dealer when originally purchased, It was purchased new by the grandfather, and then handed down and handed down and so on, the car has been very well cared for and always stored in a climate-controlled environment and the car was serviced regularly. It will probably need some things here and there, but nothing major, tires are new, and oil and fluids are fresh, she starts right up and runs, drives, and shifts great, & can be a daily driver if desired. All in all, beautiful piece of art and history, highly collectible classic all original all matching all stock 308 Ferrari.”

Hi all. Just confirmed info with my Ferrari concours judge associate here at the shop who sold these new.
Those are indeed 88/89 328/Mondial T wheels. The factory ones would have been 390mm that ran the Michelin TRX tires. Nobody liked those, so switching was common. His comment: "For concours judging, you'd lose a point. But in the real world, those (currently mounted) are much better to have."
Interesting note - the convex shape was to accommodate the ABS brakes.

This is a great opportunity for some one. I know blu sea is one of the rarest colors in 308/328 less then 30 left the factory in this color. I never seen one in person my self but only in magazines.

@prmnorton1 an honestly presented and lovely car with that unique color. Rather than assume I'll ask, is she currently equipped with the catalytic conversion system (et all) working for emissions certification? [I'm in Illinois]

@sspbcski yeah look the records but I think the previous owner did it himself. He had a pretty big Ferrari collection and was a mechanic, but a belt service on these is no more than 3000-4000 bucks, The belts are about a year old and they have 500 miles on them, Ty
Correction. Could you post a picture of the most recent major belt service . Thank you
Nice 308 with really great colorcombination. Could you post a picture of the most recent major service? Thanks.
@Dwhite ok Ty
Those are Mondial wheels. They never came from the factory on a 308. I would be curious as to the offsets. I've seen 328 wheels on a 308 and the 16inch aftermarket, but never these. GLWA.
@analogmike the car is currently in New York with Pcar, the last major service was done about a year ago/500 miles ago
is the car in Virginia or New York? When was the last major service including belts?
@KBcobra these are original wheels as far as I know, the original spare in the front trunk is also the same as all the rims on the car as well
The car does not come with any extra rims
Looks like late 328 ABS convex wheels put on it at some point. Do you have the original 308 wheels too?

Hi everybody, this is a very cool beautiful, rare color, all original all matching piece of history, car runs and drives great, shifts great, starts right up every time very reliable car. It was purchased from a long term ownership from family in California who took good care of the car, the car was very well-maintained. It does come with lots of records, The family had the car for the life of the car. They even include the original sticker invoice from the dealer with the specs and all the original items a car came with, again very cool piece of history and also very rare color being that everybody pretty much got these in red or black, they only made about 2000 of these and I assume very very few were done in this beautiful metallic blue, thanks everybody for viewing and good luck
Probably the best color a 308 could come in.
@Cbb also comes with the original sticker invoice from the dealer, all original books, manuals, documents, tools, car, jack, spare rim, everything
@Cbb yes
Does car come with California title and original, vintage license plates?
