We are pleased to present this beautifully executed 1980 Porsche 911 SC Outlaw. This 1980 example has undergone nearly $40k worth of restoration work and subtle upgrades making for a driving experience that is sure to please.  The result of countless hours of preparation and labor, this one-of-a kind 911 SC is now being offered for auction in exceptional condition.

This SC has been professionally refinished in Ice Silver Metallic.  The exterior finish is shown to be in excellent condition as can be seen by the images provided in the photo gallery.  Some unique visual features were added including black headlight bezels, clear taillight lenses and front markers, a refinished rear grill and some removable livery graphics.  A lowered, more aggressive stance compliments this 911’s factory Fuchs wheels which have been re-anodized and coated in a removable layer of protection (black) for maximum preservation.

This 911’s black interior has been restored by the professionals at Carolina Coach Crafters to a tune of over $25k.  New carpeting was installed, the seats were reupholstered and the gauges were refinished during this time.  Coco floor mats have been added, and a Prototipo steering wheel was installed. An updated Bluetooth radio unit has also been equipped providing the driver with modern audio quality, along with an aftermarket Air-Conditioning unit to keep its passengers comfortable.  Invoices provided in the photo gallery highlight the incredible amount of restorative work that has been performed.  Original factory options selected for this 911 include:

  • Electric Mirror (right)
  • Forged Alloy Wheels
  • Sport Shock Absorbers
  • 2 Speakers on Back Shelf
  • Rectangular Front Fog Lights
  • Electric Sliding Sunroof
  • Electric Antenna

All gauges, electrical components and accessories are reported to be in excellent working order.

This 911 retains its original number’s-matching 3.0L flat-six engine which is rated at 180HP and 175 lb-ft of torque when new.  The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission which was completely rebuilt in 2014.  Noteworthy modifications include an upgraded Fabspeed full exhaust system and a catalytic converter delete.  A collection of service records indicate that this vehicle has been kept up-to-date on all scheduled maintenance with a recent engine leak-down and compression test yielding satisfactory results.  Having been fully inspected and serviced in 2018, this 911 SC is confirmed to be in excellent driving condition.

The sale of this 911 will include two sets of keys, original books and documentation, extensive service records, invoices and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.  This no-expense spared 911 SC represents a fantastic value for the discerning air-cooled enthusiast.

@flatsix77 - Thank you for the kind words and you would not be disappointed in the car. Yes, I do have the original chrome trim and car is ready to go as soon as shipping is scheduled as it needs nothing so no hold time.

  • flatsix77 (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Beautiful ride! 2 questions. 1. Do you have original chrome front light headlight trim? 2. If I were to win bid, how long can you hold car while I secure shipping? Thx

  • Rolokan (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Hi - Can you please confirm the size of the Fuchs on the car. Also are decals removable? Finally can you please provide the details of the leakdown test?

    Thanks

What is the story on the AC from photo 38? Looks new. I did not see a mention of it in the write-up.

  • meritpartners (seller) 4 years, 3 monthsago

@KC-CarGuy Thank you for the kind words, the car really did come together well with the silver and black showing a little more aggressiveness from the original car while still maintaining the classic look.
