Sporting the traditional combination of Guards Red over black, this 1980 Porsche 911SC Coupe was sold new from Rusnak Porsche in Southern California and had made its way to Portland, Oregon by the late 1980s where it remained with the original owner up until very recently.  Accompanied by a great deal of service history which documents a major engine-out service and reseal, this 5-speed 911SC is now being offered by its second owner out of Florida with just over 102k miles on the odometer.

This Coupe sports Guards Red paint, front fog lights, and classic 15” Fuchs wheels dressed in Pirelli P6000 tires.  The seller describes the body as being straight and with consistent panel gaps, while some stone chips are noted on the front end.  Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The black interior features a matching headliner, Porsche-branded floormats, and an original Blaupunkt radio as well as an upgraded 964 Clubsport-style steering wheel.  The seller reports all accessories and instrumentation to be working properly including the A/C, radio, and electric sunroof.

The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six engine produces up to 180 HP and drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle.  A collection of service records dating back to 1983 shows a history of routine maintenance as well as a major engine-out service and reseal in 1993 including a new clutch and transmission rebuild.

This sale will include a clean title and service records.

@chazzmichaelmichaels hi, the car sits on the euro ride height specs. The stance to me is perfect and rides awesome. Thanks,

  • chazzmichaelmichaels (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Has it been lowered, or is that euro ride height? Stance looks great.

@BoJones That's correct and it was continuous. Not sure why PCarmarket altered the video or why it cuts off. Feel free to send me a direct message and I will forward you the video so you can see for yourself. Its a cold start! Thanks,

  • BoJones (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

Cold start video should be continuous from touching cold pipes to ignition.
Otherwise, it could be a warm start.
Not saying it is, but it’s possible in this scenario.

@RAL WoW 22K miles is a gem! I don't have any info on the heads or compression test. There are ZERO leaks. I did have rear break line issue leak with the original hose which was replaced. Replacement part came from Porsche Germany and all good now! Impressive that it was original hose. I am working on getting COA (Certificate of Authenticity) done at my local Porsche dealer in South Florida, not sure when. I know all the numbers match, I know a buyer is not going to take my word for it unless they research it themselves. Thanks,

  • RAL (registered bidder) 1 year, 7 monthsago

@Mbonetj19 Thanks for the reply. She looks really nice. I just sold my ‘81 GR Targa w/ 22K original miles. I’m kicking myself now! Any more info on head studs, compression or leak down test?

@RAL thanks for your message. The car was painted back in the early 90's and the current paint is from then. I have not re-sprayed, I did do a paint correction a few weeks back. Its always been garaged kept and shows really well. At the same time its a 42yr old car. Thanks,

  • RAL (registered bidder) 1 year, 7 monthsago

Has this had a respray? I see tape lines and a smudge above the vin tag.

  • Mbonetj19 (seller) 1 year, 7 monthsago

@jtklein Nope never been replaced. Off? Really… there is always that guy that wants to tire kick. Anyways from 1982 and on the speedo went to 150, pre 1982 it went to 85. Yes, it’s all original and no it’s not off. Thanks!

  • jtklein (registered bidder) 1 year, 7 monthsago

Has the instrument panel been replaced? It looks a little off, especially the speedo. I had a 1987 that went to 170 mph.

@Mbonetj19 Hello Everyone, undercarriage pics are up. Sorry for the delay! Within the last 2 weeks the car had a 2 step paint correction, the guards red really pops! Changed out the hood crest, the original will be provided. Thanks,

@Fab64 Hi, no this not had Carrera tensioners add to it. I am still working on getting the undercarriage pics I haven't had the time due to work and the availability to a lift. I should have detailed undercarriage pics this weekend. Thanks,

  • Fab64 1 year, 8 monthsago

Has this car had Carrera chain tensioners added to it? I second the request for underside pictures, thanks.

  • Salperez (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

Such a beautiful machine. Looks like you've kept it in immaculate conditions. I would take it off your hands if I had the cash.
