This 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is said to have been imported to the U.S. from Colombia approximately one year ago, after receiving a comprehensive restoration. Refinished in red over black upholstery, it is powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Driven approximately 2,500 kilometers since the restoration, it is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
The FJ43 features a medium-length wheelbase, distinguishing it from its FJ40 counterpart. This example has been refinished in a vibrant red shade with a contrasting white roof and front grille. Notable details include black window trim, a grey front bumper, mirrors, and rear bumperettes, as well as hood latches, Land Cruiser emblems, chrome door handles, and slotted wheels fitted with new Unigrip Road Force M/T tires. The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette with body-color surrounds. Equipment includes bench seating, a three-spoke steering wheel, roll-up windows, a glovebox, climate controls, a radio, and a passenger’s side grab handle.

The rear or all four wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. According to the seller, the mechanical components were fully restored before the vehicle was imported to the United States, and all maintenance items are up to date.
