Manufactured between 1977 and 1987, the Citroën Acadiane replaced the venerable 2CV Fourgonette as the French brand’s premier compact utility vehicle. It was based on the Dyane family car with a heavy-duty suspension, a reliable 602cc flat-two engine, a 4-speed manual gearbox, and a 1,100 lb. payload capacity. This 1982 example was originally delivered in Mexico before being imported to New Brunswick, Canada. Having resided in Quebec for nearly 20 years, this classic Citroën is now being offered for auction.

The Citroën Acadiane van features an elongated rear cargo area with a high roofline, rigid corrugated bodywork, square windows, and split vertical barn doors. This example is finished in beige and equipped with round headlamps, a chrome front grille, dual mirrors, a polished fuel cap, painted steel wheels, and chrome hubcaps. The seller indicates new Michelin tires have been installed and the exterior is believed to have been refinished under prior ownership based on its good condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage in 2013 amounting to less than $2,000 CAD.

The cabin features black upholstery with brown vinyl front seats, beige inward-facing rear jump seats, and black rubber floor liners. Accessories include manual windows, three-point seatbelts, a black two-spoke steering wheel, dashboard vents, indicator lights, an under-dash storage shelf, a Jaeger speedometer, and a 12-volt power outlet.

This Citroën is equipped with a 602cc flat-two engine delivering up to 35 HP to the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission, providing a comfortable cruising speed of 55 MPH. The fluids are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.

This Citroen is accompanied by a registration and a bill of sale.

The seller would like you to know: “Here is a chance to own the most frugal and cool delivery truck out there (34 MPG) in fantastic shape, capturing all the oxygen from every room. Easy importation (I will assist) with doorstep delivery in no time. GLWTA.”
