Available for auction is this 1982 Citroën Méhari finished in orange over a black vinyl interior. The lightweight and versatile Méhari was produced from 1968 to 1988 and featured fully independent suspension, ABS plastic body panels, removable doors, and a folding roof. This 1982 example underwent restoration before being imported and features a 602cc flat-twin engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a removable fabric roof. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing 178 kilometers (110 miles) on its odometer since its restoration.
The rust-resistant ABS plastic body comes finished in orange and features a fabric roof in black. The doors can be removed and the fabric top can be folded and stowed within the vehicle. The seller notes that the finish shows fading around the hood, as well as some minor chips. Detailed images can be found in the gallery. The hood is secured by leather straps and it rides on a set of white-finished three-lug 15” steel wheels dressed in 2CVMMC radial tires.
The cabin is equipped with front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. Minor signs of wear are visible on parts that were reused after the restoration including the steering wheel and odometer. The molded dashboard incorporates an ashtray, and a locking glove box, while features include windshield wipers, Jaeger gauges, and a spare tire mounted behind the front passenger seat. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories are working properly.
Power comes from an air-cooled 602cc flat-twin engine which drives the front wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transaxle. The Méhari shares its steel chassis design with all Citroën A-Series and is equipped with fully independent suspension. The seller reports that there are no outstanding service items at this time.

The most odd shift pattern of all time
I have heard mixed reports on whether a 2CV or any members of its family like the Mehari can be registered in California.One gent with a later model 2CV said because it is aircooled and below 800 cc it is exempt.Love to know if that true because I would love a Mehari like this.Anyone??

I'm from NY and was concerned as to whether it will be able to register this here- any insight? My presumption is that a FL titled car can be registered in NY, am I correct?
@robertschachtesq Good Morning. The vehicle has not been registered but does come with Florida title. You can title and register like any other vehicle. If you are a Florida resident we can perform all DMV registration and issue a hard plate.
