We are pleased to offer this custom 1982 Porsche 911SC Euro widebody finished in Black over a black interior.  Featuring genuine steel fender flares, a ZF limited-slip differential, and desirable European-market details, this SC was purchased by the seller from a PCA member about five years ago and has since undergone a transmission service, the installation of a new clutch, and a top-end engine rebuild including upgraded ARP studs as well as Mahle pistons and cylinders.  With approximately 1k miles driven on the rebuilt engine and 131k miles currently showing on the odometer, this 911SC widebody is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.

Within the last four years prior to the seller’s purchase, this 911SC is said to have undergone a full glass-out respray in Black along with the installation of new rubber seals and gaskets.  Dansk steel Turbo fender flares are said to have been installed in 2017 in addition to GT Racing fiberglass bumpers and rear decklid with a whale tail spoiler.  European H4 headlights are equipped and other notable features include a removable Porsche decal on the front bumper, European side marker lights, and Euromeister RSR-style 8”x 9” Fuchs wheels.

Inside, you will find a black interior with recently reupholstered seats and a new headliner.  The rear seats have been removed and an aftermarket MOMO Prototipo steering wheel has been installed along with a bolt-in roll bar, stainless-steel floorboards, and an upgraded stereo system.  The dashboard and door panels are said to be in great shape and all gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional.

The European-spec 3.0L flat-six engine underwent a full top-end rebuild within the last 1k miles which included new ARP steel studs, machined cylinder heads, new intake and exhaust valves, Mahle pistons and cylinders, new rings, and a full service of the CIS fuel injection system.  The engine build and tuning were performed by Jim Vassey of West Automotive.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission with an upgraded ZF limited-slip differential.  The gearbox was also serviced at the time of the engine build including a new Sachs clutch kit and a resurfaced flywheel.  Other performance modifications include an M&K dual center-exit exhaust, Boge front struts with new Sachs inserts, Bilstein rear shocks, ERP poly bronze bushings, 19mm/24mm torsion bars, and an upgraded oil system including a heavy-duty front-mounted oil cooler.

This sale will include a clean title. Tastefully upgraded and well-sorted for its next owner, this European widebody 911SC is just waiting to be enjoyed.

I have dealt with this seller in the past and couldn't be happier with my experience. He is a very honest, knowledgable guy and stands behind his cars. You can bid with confidence.

@Matthew77 Yes the rear quarters and the front fenders are all steel . The body/paint work was carried out to high level (inmop) and Id like to think the pics clearly show the work was done very well . The car wasnt done with the intention of being a show piece however I think the car would present very well in that Arena . My intention was never to sell the car but as some of you that know me here in the Northeast Im always working on a new project or an Engine in development that needs capital . Unfortunately something has to go in my collection and I can still enjoy my daily driver 85 Euro 930 . I think the new buyer will enjoy the 82 as its a blast to drive , super quick and really needs nothing outside of maybe some personal changes the next owner may have in mind . Best of luck to the bidders .

  • Matthew77 (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Yes thank u... The rear quarters are metal too?

  • westauto1467 (seller) 3 yearsago

To answer a few questions , yes its a Euro car with the Higher compression 9.8-1 pistons and yes heads are large port 38mm . I do have the original heat exchanges included with sale . The body is all steel except the deck and the flares are standard steel turbo flares (made by Dansk)and they were properly welded on as the factory did. Cheers

Cool car. Were European spec high compressions pistons (9.8:1) used in the rebuild? That’s one of the significant differences with the euro engine. It seems like the heads were “backdated” to the 78/79 large port style sometime in the past, which can be a good match to larger headers and more time over 3K RPM. Do you still have the stock euro exhaust (heater boxes)?

  • tciwrench (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

@Matthew77 It says in the ad it is a euro market SC with euro 3.0 motor and had steel fenders installed to make it a wide body. I hope that helps ?????

@GillesB The car was built/restored with intention of some track use but It never got past the street . The roll bar is bolt in and not a weld-in cage . Original color looks like maybe a blue . Unfortunately I never investigated much of the cars originality . My interest was to keep the car in my collection for a long time .

  • GillesB (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

    Hi again @seller
Do you know if black was the original color of the car ?
Can you confirm that the car was used for track racing as a cage was added ?
    Tks

@naveed No rust ever , never hit . Engine has had a recent build . Ill put a compression gauge and leak down on it later in the auction . Runs and drives very well .

  • naveed (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

    Hi, also very interested.

can you do a compression and leakdown test?
what has been done to the suspension?
Any rust, whether surface or cancer?

  • westauto1467 (seller) 3 yearsago

Im the owner and ill be putting in as much information as needed as the auction goes on . I own and operate an Auto Repair center in NJ and all of the mechanical work has been done by me at my facility . Brakes and tires are fine , no mechanical issues and the flares are welded on properly as the factory would have done . No its not an original widebody . No leaks . The transmission is an 85 Unit with factory ZF LSD . The engine is a big port 3 litre and I believe its original but not positive . The numbers on the engine correspond to 82 . We will be adding a start up video shortly and ill ad more pics as needed. Cheers

    Good morning @seller,
    1. Do you have maintenance receipts ( and going back until when ) and receipts for work done as of today ?
    2. When were brakes done and tires changes ?
    3. Any issues with the car even minimal ?
    4. Do you know if flares were original of the car or added ?
    5. Do you have a PPI ?
    6. Any oil leaks ?
    7. Is it a matching number ?
    Thank you
