This 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa comes finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior and equips a 3.0-liter flat-six engine featuring Bosch fuel injection along with a 5-speed manual transmission. This 1982 example benefits from a complete exterior refinish along with reconditioning of the Targa top, rebuilt brake calipers, and more. Showing approximately 83k miles on the odometer, this Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Minnesota.

This 911SC is said to have been refinished in Guards Red throughout 2022 and features a removable black Targa roof panel, matching Targa bar, a wraparound rear glass window, fog lights, and dual side mirrors. At the same time, the Targa top was reconditioned, the Targa bar seal was replaced, and the rear bumperettes and license plate lights were removed. The 16” Fuchs wheels with black-finished centers were dressed in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires in 2019. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with black leather featuring bucket seats with replacement Stoddard upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Equipment includes a center console, cruise control, air conditioning, and power windows. An aftermarket stereo and CarBone front trunk carpet set have been added as well.

Power is derived from a 3.0-liter flat-six engine featuring Bosch fuel injection. Up to 172 HP and 189 lb.-ft f torque are sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 5-speed manual transmission, while stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors. The CARFAX report shows the clutch was replaced in August 2017, and the seller reports a Dansk Sport muffler has been installed. Additionally, work completed at 82k miles is said to include brake calipers rebuilt, Turbo-specification tie rods installed, and replacement to the fuel pump, CDI box, brake pads, and hoses.

This sale will include a clean title.

@rbonome I now see what your saying on the right side bumper. We can have the body shop that painted take a look at adjusting that. We also have the seal that's supposed to go between the bumper and the Porsche lens and will include that in the sale. I put a tape on the front and they appear to be at the same height.

    @mikeostenson Good Evening Mike,

The 2nd pic in gallery where the front height seems off and you can also notice the right rear bumper is misaligned in any picture that displays the rear bumper.
Have a great evening and thanks.

@rbonome Hi Rob. I'm not seeing what you are seeing. Please let me know which pictures give you this idea. I will put a tape measure on it later today and get back to you.

@porschebf This car does not leak any oil or other fluids, and as far as we know the roof does not leak either, but I will say it never really got driven in the rain. In fact, the Targa Top is usually off because, well, that's what's so cool about the Targa!

  • mikeostenson (seller) 1 yearago

@nobrakes The original bumperettes are gone, but the wiring remains. He had planned to get a small light that clips to the license plate frame and can be wired into the system using the old bumperette light wire.

  • nobrakes (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Hi. Did your pop retain the bumperettes? Is the wiring for the license plate light still intact?

  • porschebf (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Nice paint & interior. Any leaks in the motor? Rain leaks from the Targa top ?

    Thanks, Brad

  • rbonome (registered bidder) 1 yearago

    Hey Mike,

    Love the Porsche!

The right front appears to be lower from ground than the left front height and the rear bumper on right side is off alignment.

Can you please take a gander when you have time, thanks!

    Have a great weekend!

    Rob

Beautiful Porsche! Love to see it in my garage :-)

  • mikeostenson (seller) 1 yearago

If anyone has any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm selling this car on behalf of my 75-year old father who bought it in 2016. He immediately put $10k into new tires, tie-rods, Cdi Box, brakes, new leather seat covers, and anything else it needed to be mechanically sound and drove it about 3,000 miles. He likes a project, so he decided to freshen up the paint and it took about a year to get it back from the painter. In the meantime, he moved on to a 993 and no longer drives the Targa. Now that's it's back with a fresh $10k paint job, he's ready to pass it on to the next owner. This Targa is a lot of fun to drive, well sorted, and would make a nice addition to anyone's garage. Cheers, Mike
