This 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa is finished in Wine Red Metallic over a Cashmere Beige interior and benefits from a restoration including a glass-out repaint in its original color as well as a reupholstered interior, refinished 16” Fuchs wheels, a new oil cooler, clutch, and a top-end engine rebuild. This 911SC was first registered in Pennsylvania and spent most of its life in Georgia where it is now being offered for auction with approximately 100k miles showing on the odometer.

This 911SC came factory finished in Wine Red Metallic and underwent a complete glass-out repaint along with the installation of a new windshield, a new Targa top skin, and refinishing of its factory 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. Equipment includes front fog lights, headlight washers, a removable roof panel, a wraparound black Targa bar, a heated glass rear window, a fender-mounted antenna, and colored Porsche crest wheel center caps. The rear bumperettes have been removed and the car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto tires (2712). Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Cashmere Beige and brown interior has been redone with new OEM carpeting and leather upholstery for the seats and steering wheel. Accessories include power windows and mirrors, a heater, air conditioning, a locking glovebox, a quartz clock, folding rear seatbacks, and an aftermarket Sony Bluetooth head unit. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are working properly.

An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 180 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller states a major service and top-end engine rebuild was completed several years ago at a cost of over $10k new seals and gaskets, a new oil cooler, and a new clutch. The fluids were also replaced in October 2023.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, some documentation, and a clean title.

  • jbauto (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

Is that top steel or fiberglass? Nice spec here. And a 5spd is the ticket IMHO. GL

Can you please provide a comment on cold startup video RPM jumps? I've had 1982 911SC and it was not doing that.

    Thank you!

  • ponyup (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

@urfealex.. our technician did not note any leaks upon our inspection of the car. We did provide a walk around and start video to PCar. Here is our YouTube link to the video. I will have them upload it as well.

Nice example. There seems to be some oil leakage from the tranny or rear main seal (Photo 108). Comment on this, please. Are you planning to post some videos of cold start, driving, etc. Thanks in advance

  • ponyup (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

@skier @skier.. nice catch. We didnt even see that! My guess it was on the install on the new head unit.

  • skier (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

  • ponyup (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

@TheGerman... the A/C has been converted to R134a. We have not been in weather to tell you if its "ice cold" but it fully engages and functions.
@bigswampers... underside pictures to post shortly.

  • bigswampers (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

Any pictures of the underside of the car?

  • TheGerman (registered bidder) 5 months, 3 weeksago

    @ponyup (seller)
Is the A/C already converted to R134a?
Does the air conditioning only blow cool or ice cold?
