We are pleased to offer this custom 1983 Porsche 911SC RS-style backdate.  Beginning with a final model-year 1983 example, this SC was transformed by Willow Automotive in 2012 into the one-of-a-kind RS-style tribute we see today.  In addition to its distinctive RS body styling and graphics, this 911 features upgraded brakes, suspension, and a 993-sourced 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine mated to a G50 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.  Previously listed and sold on PCARMARKET, this well-executed RS-style backdate is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Pennsylvania while showing just under 65k miles on the odometer.

This 911SC is finished in White with Blue Carrera RS graphics which have been covered with a clear protective film to prevent from peeling, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Backdated fiberglass RS bodywork has been installed including the fenders, bumpers, hood, and Ducktail rear spoiler.  Other features include European-market headlamps, polished side-view mirrors, front hood tie-downs, and 16” Fuchs wheels which are finished with Blue-painted centers and anodized silver outer lips.  These wheels come dressed in Bridgestone Potenza tires that were installed in 2017.

Inside, this 911 features a black interior with a rear seat delete, RS-style door panels, a bolt-in roll bar, and a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Other details include a short-throw shifter, pushbutton ignition, Sparco safety harnesses, Rennline adjustable pedals, a fire extinguisher, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo.  An upgraded air-conditioning system has also been installed which includes front and rear condensers.

Power comes from a Porsche 993-sourced 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine that sends as much as 282 HP to the rear wheels through a G50 5-speed manual transmission with a billet side-cover and limited-slip differential.  Other performance upgrades include dual oil coolers, a lightweight flywheel, Porsche 930 brake calipers, a front strut brace, and Bilstein shock absorbers.  The left cylinder head was replaced along with the #1-cylinder, piston, and connecting rod in 2018 following a valve failure.  Replacement drive axles were also installed during the engine conversion by Willow Automotive in 2012.

This sale will include a toolkit and a clean title.  Offering up the iconic looks of the 1973 RS coupled with a powerful 3.6 L Varioram engine and a host of other performance upgrades, this custom 911SC is sure to satisfy any passionate air-cooled enthusiast.

@SoCal911GTS To register here in California, you would need to pass smog-- would need to pass the sniff test and have all of original smog equipment--cats (and depending on how sharp the smog official is, maybe the secondary air injection that the VRAM engine had).

@SoCal911GTS I never registered a car in California , but this car just passed PA inspections, see pictures.

  • SoCal911GTS (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Rookie question here, so thank you for being patient with me. Do you have any knowledge of how difficult it would be to register this car in California?

  • Jp4272 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@CARTYPE I did not have the radio on when I was driving, it must have been a reflection.

  • CARTYPE (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

I noticed in the video that the lights on the radio flash when accelerating. (could be reflections) can you confirm?

@c2silver I decided to sell a few of my cars and purchase a Lamborghini . When I purchased this car I feel that it was under the current market at that time. Everything was done correctly on this build, this car is fast , handles great & stops on a dime !

  • c2silver (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

  • CARTYPE (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

  • Jp4272 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

This car has just been PA inspected , it comes with original books, 2 keys, car cover, battery charger . It starts right up every time , everything was done right on this car. Every time I drive it people stop, if you are in the market for a outlaw backdate , here is your chance to own one.
