Marking the final year of the 911SC or “Super Carrera”, this 1983 Porsche 911SC Coupe comes finished in Light Bronze Metallic over Brown leather upholstery. It was sold new from Knopf Porsche-Audi of Allentown, Pennsylvania, equipped with optional Sport Seats, Fuchs forged alloy wheels, cruise control, fog lights, air conditioning, and an electric sunroof. Purchased by the seller in 2022 and accompanied by service records dating back to the 1990s, this 911SC Coupe is now being offered for auction out of Maine with approximately 64k miles showing on the odometer.
This Coupe is finished in Light Bronze Metallic (R6), a paint color offered on the 911SC for the 1983 model year only. Equipment includes optional rectangular front fog lights, an electric sunroof, headlights washers, body-colored headlamp bezels, dual mirrors, U.S. market bumperettes, and factory 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The seller indicates the passenger door was refinished under previous ownership and the CARFAX report shows a damage disclosure in 2016. The Bridgestone Potenza tires are over 10 years old, and some minor rock chips are noted on the front end. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Brown leather interior showcases factory-optioned Sport Seats that were reupholstered under prior ownership. Other accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, new Coco floor mats, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo installed by the seller. The air conditioning system was recharged in 2022 and all gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.
An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 172 HP and 189 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle while stopping power comes from power-assisted disc brakes at each corner. The seller indicates a valve adjustment and clutch replacement were completed in 2017.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, and a valid Maine registration.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a fantastic car that I have thoroughly enjoyed date nights and a few trips to the ice cream shop with. I have a few other classic cars but with the arrival of a newborn baby boy, and the construction of a new house I have to downsize the amount of toys. Please reach out with any questions I am happy to assist.”

@rhmoritz I have the VA Title from when I purchased the car & the Maine registration. It is also possible that I file for a "Classic Car Title" in the State of Maine where I have to make a written case as to why the title is important for this car. It can take several weeks. Happy to do it for the buyer if needed.
Is there a title for the car or just the Maine registration?

@rhmoritz Most recent oil change: 10/02/23 Mileage: 63,951 Todays 7/12/24 mileage after the driving video: 64,441. In the year and a half it's been in my garage It has not had one drip of oil.
I will look into the Timing chain tensioners.
Has the car been updated with the Carrera oil-fed timing chain tensioners? When (mileage/date) was the most recent oil change and brake flush? Any oil leaks or seepage? Thanks.
Very nice SC

@rhmoritz The 2016 damage disclosure per the previous two owners was passenger door resprayed due to it being keyed. No body work done to the car. Car has been continually maintained I have 45+ pages of maintenance history. I will Up load a cold start video tonight and if I can find a passenger a driving video also. @somer Im not sure what you mean do the receipts jive with maintenance records but happy to share them. Yes A/C blows cold although being 90+ here in Maine the last few weeks its does not compare to a newer vehicle.
Do the receipts jive with the maintenance records? AC blow cold?
Can the seller provide details on the damage disclosure in 2016? Any paint or body work? All maintenance up to date? Quick start up and drive video? Thank you.
Thank you all for the early comments and bids! I also have 45 pages of service records dating back to 1990 as well as the few in the original service manual up to 1985. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.

Of all the brown colors Porsche offered, ‘hellbronzemetallic‘ is one of my favorites for sure. Nicely optioned and tidy, GLWTA seller!
I have this same color combination (repaint in light bronze metallic (R6)) but an '82. Love how well this has been preserved and how clean everything is throughout. Good luck with the sale - I'll be watching and cheering on this gorgeous SC here from Texas.
