Now available is this custom 1983 Porsche 911SC Cabriolet Slant Nose finished in Guards Red.  Representing the final year of the 911SC and the first ever 911 Cabriolet model, this desirable 1983 European-market example was federalized and imported to the U.S. in 1990.  It was previously treated to a full steel Slant Nose conversion including widened rear fenders, boxed rockers, and iconic Flachbau front fenders. The black leather interior has been customized with red seat piping, a Fabspeed exhaust system has been installed, and the car rides on 3-piece 18” Speedline-style wheels.  Accompanied by a clean CARFAX report and a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, this nicely executed 911SC Slant Nose is being offered by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 118k miles.

This 911SC is finished in Guards Red with a newer black cabriolet soft top and has been transformed with a full steel Slant Nose wide-body conversion as well as a custom 3.6 RS-style rear spoiler.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery.  Red-painted brake calipers can be seen behind the 18” 3-piece Speedline-style wheels. The Pirelli P Zero tires are said to retain approximately 50% tread.

The cabin highlights custom reupholstered black leather seats with red piping, aluminum trim pieces, and newer black carpeting.  The car also features power windows, mirrors, and door locks as well as a Viper alarm system and an upgraded Pioneer radio.  The seller reports all instruments and accessories to be fully functional.

This European-market 911SC carries an air-cooled 3.0L flat-six engine paired with a 915 5-speed manual gearbox.  As a 1983 example, this SC also features the updated aluminum engine case developed for the following Carrera generation.  An upgraded Fabspeed exhaust system has been installed, and the seller was told by the previous owner that the engine was rebuilt at 85k miles.

This sale will include an original owner's manual, alarm and radio instructions, a car cover, a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, and a clean title.

Objectively fantastic looking car. Well executed conversion. Valuation clearly problematic - but already wishing I bid higher!

@rgbahr do you know if it has any of the dash ac blowers or original hem venting?

  • rgbahr (seller) 2 years, 8 monthsago

@Tgilbert it looks like that there was once an aftermarket AC installed. I am currently not close to the car so I can't tell you the tire codes
