The Platinum Metallic finish is shown to be in excellent condition with some minor signs of road going wear and a small blemish on the cowl, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  The factory-style Slant Nose conversion consists of a revised hood, fenders with integrated air vents, pop-up headlights, side skirts, a “tea-tray” spoiler and flared rear quarter panels with side air intakes.  A recent PPI was carried out by a Porsche specialist which confirmed that steel parts were utilized during the conversion and that overall the work gives the appearance that it was done to very high standards.  This Carrera rides on a set of highly sought after period-correct set of three-piece BBS RS wheels which come dressed BF Goodrich performance tires.

The black and tan leather upholstered interior is stated to remain in fantastic shape for its age. Factory features include a power-operated sunroof, leather Sports Seats, front speakers, an electric antenna, automatic speed control and air conditioning.  The seller notes that a radio delete has been applied with a corresponding cover plate, however all other gauges, electrical components and accessories remain fully functional.

This Carrera is equipped with its original Euro-spec 3.2L flat-six engine.  Rated at 231 HP, this European 3.2L is capable of putting out 24 HP more than its U.S.-spec counterpart.  The rear wheels are driven by way smooth 915 5-speed manual transmission with a factory short shift kit making for a pure and unadulterated driving experience.  In 2017, Hollerans Performance carried out a full service which included fluid and filter changers, a brake fluid flush, a new battery and refinished fan shroud.  Stated to be in excellent driving condition, this Carrera is ready to begin the next stage of its life.

The sale of the outstanding Carrera Slant Nose will include a set of two keys, original books and documentation, an air compressor, jack and toolkit as well as maintenance records and a clean Carfax report.  A truly unique example offered in exceptional overall condition, this high-quality Carrera Slant Nose conversion is not to be overlooked.

This one of the best conversions I have ever seen and I think it is the front spoiler that makes it. This was all the rave in the nineties.

@Snowcone - thanks. Close to OEM size :) That era on 16s were 205/55R16 and 245/45R16. No biggie, but throws the gearing just a hair.

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 yearsago

@JNasty The current tires sizes are 225/50 ZR16 on the front and rears are 245/50 ZR16.
Not 100% sure of the wheel widths but I think they are 8" & 9".

  • JNasty (registered bidder) 4 yearsago

@Snowcone - when you check the wheel width, can you note the tire size please?

@Snowcone taken care of. Thank you.

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@pcarmarket I just noticed that the carfax shown is not for this car.

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@JNasty No rubbing or bottoming out, rides just fine like any other 911 of this era.
I Know the BBS's are 15" but as to the width I will have to check this out when I get home.
I am working out of town for a couple days but this can change and may be home sooner.

@Snowcone - I missed that, yes round on OEM. Do you have the dimensions on the BBS wheels? Thanks. No rubbing or bottoming at speed/cornering?

  • gunnyosu (registered bidder) 4 years, 1 monthago

@Snowcone Thanks - I would love to check it out but am in Charleston and don't think I can venture that far while we are on "lockdown". Appreciate the info! I'll keep an eye out for the pics!

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@gunnyosu No engine rebuild or engine out service that I am aware of and when I purchased it I was told that all was original. When you see the car you will be able to see that by the condition of everything that the mileage is true. No smoke, no leaks/drips runs and drives great.
Since you are somewhat local you are welcome to come by and check it out. I will check but I thought I included some pictures of under engine area to BaT.

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@Win They are all steel components not fiberglass. I believe you are correct that the original factory lights were round.

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@JNasty Correct. It is now registered and titled in SC. I did not register the car in SC when I first had it delivered it is stored in my climate controlled garage and is only taken out about once a month just to keep everything lubed and exercised. I will normally disconnect the battery in between runs and in fact I took it out this past weekend and noticed that the clock had stopped working. Not sure why, it had always worked in the past. Perhaps disconnecting the battery causing it to stop and start may have something to do with it.
However, should the car sell this will be addressed/repaired for the new owner.
Regarding the fenders, yes, I was speaking of standard non-slanted version. As for records on the conversion, I will look through what I have but I don't recall having much but if I find something I will have it posted.

From what I remember the factory slant nose fenders had round headlights also the quarter vents appear to be non factory it looks to me like is just another conversion using aftermarket hand made components as was so common in the 80’s

  • gunnyosu (registered bidder) 4 years, 1 monthago

    @Snowcone
A fellow S. Carolinian here. Do you know if it has had an engine-out service or perhaps a rebuild? Mileage is very low but gaskets/seals tend to not age well. Any smoke? Happen to have any pics of the underside of motor, exhaust area? Thanks in advance!

  • JNasty (registered bidder) 4 years, 1 monthago

@Snowcone - So not registered there? I see CA plates w/ 2018 expire. If CA title still, "planned non operation" is what you use to store a car etc. Cheaper. Fenders? You mean non-slant/not slated? It does look goods like this. Do you have records for any of the mods/services noted? Everything work? No issues?

  • Snowcone (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@JNasty It has a clear South Carolina title.
It is no longer registered in CA. Not sure what you mean by "CA non operation status"
Although it resided in CA from new up until I bought it.
I actually purchased it with the idea of putting regular 930 front fenders on it but once I got it and saw how nice it was along with the history I decided better to leave it just as is.
Regarding the stance, I don't know of any modifications. In person to me it really does not look any much lower than other ROW set ups.

  • JNasty (registered bidder) 4 years, 1 monthago

@seller - 1) Is this on a CA title? 2) I see CA reg expired in 2018, can you confirm no old CA fees> 3) meaning not registered now, is it on a CA "non operational" status? Or? 4) Any suspension work info? Really low even fro Euro spec. Thanks. Miss my Platinum 930 (non slant),
