The Jeep CJ-7 was introduced as the successor to the CJ-5 featuring an extended wheelbase. Pairing a 5-speed manual transmission with its 4.2-liter inline-six, this 1984 example has been refinished in Army Green from Toyota’s paint collection and upgraded with a host of new items including a lift kit, soft top, stereo, and tires upon the seller’s acquisition in July 2021. Showing approximately 54k miles on the odometer, this Jeep is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia.
This CJ-7 is said to have been refinished in Army Green from Toyota’s paint catalog at a cost of approximately $15k. Equipment includes front fog lights, dual mirrors, black-finished steel bumpers, fender flares, and side steps. The seller adds that a new soft top and soft doors have been fitted along a suspension lift kit. The 15” steel wheels have been refinished in black and mounted with new Goodyear Wrangler tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features black vinyl upholstery for the high-back front bucket seats and rear bench along with matching carpets. Equipment includes a body-colored dashboard, central instrumentation, a three-spoke steering wheel, a passenger’s side grab handle, and a locking center storage box. The seller adds that an upgraded stereo has been fitted and all gauges, electronics, and accessories are working properly.
Power is derived from a single-carbureted 4.2-liter inline-six engine generating power to the rear or all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include power steering and a 20-gallon fuel tank. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title and some documentation.

@YAFA Yes, out of the office today but I’ll get some videos first thing tomorrow.
We do not have much information on service history of the engine
Bid in the amount of $7,777
@JustinEuroclassics would you please upload some driving and cold start videos please?
Any history on servicing the engine?
Thanks
@braoley, sorry let me try to re-upload.
Trans fluid and front and rear diff fluids were done in 2021. I do not have any history after that. If you google the VIN you can find the previous auction listing before the restoration was completed. Everything works as it should.
Link to data plate-

The photo of the data plate is not shown in the photos as you stated below? What other fluid changes and work has been performed and when? Does all equipment and accessories on the Jeep work as they are intended to (such as: lights, wipers & squirts, 4WD system, heater, radio...) Any mechanical issues or leaks? Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $7,000
@cwalkins68, photo of plate added from before the re-paint. Ill get a updated photo today as well.
This has power steering but not power brakes. Description should be corrected. Seller should post a photo of the data plate with the trim code on the driver side of the firewall in the engine compartment.
