Located in Somerset, England, and regarded among the foremost Land Rover restorationists in the world, Arkonik performed a full frame-off custom build on this 1984 110 example to the highest standard. Finished in Santorini Black over a Chestnut Brown leather interior, this 110 features a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, Wilwood brake calipers with Tarox rotors, Old Man Emu suspension components, upgraded steering components, 16” Land Rover Boost wheels, black diamond-plate trim, and so much more. This Arkonik 110 was imported in August of 2016 and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of South Carolina.
Upon being delivered to Arkonik, this 110 was completely disassembled before the original steel frame was put on a custom jig, carefully inspected, realigned, shot-blasted, fitted with a new cross member, etch-primed, and Raptor-coated for maximum longevity and durability. New body panels were then fabricated to exacting specifications and are finished in Santorini Black. This Arkonik is built on the inaugural year 1984 110 and features custom paint-matched wheel arch extensions, black diamond-plate trim, side steps, a KBX grille, headlight surrounds, and fender vents. Additional equipment includes a brush guard, a Warn winch, LED lighting, a front skid plate that covers the steering system and front differential, a Front Runner roof rack and ladder, rear parking sensors, black mudflaps, and an NAS-style rear bumper. It rides on 16” Land Rover Boost wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Detailed images are provided along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this Defender is upholstered in Chestnut Brown leather and features full black carpeting and rubber floor mats, aftermarket diamond-stitched front and rear seats, inward-facing rear seats, a 3-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a black suede-style headliner. Amenities include front seat heating, an air conditioning system, a locking center console with USB ports, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit with a backup camera, a JL Audio amplifier, and a 500W inverter. The seller states to have replaced the gauges, the driver’s seat belt, heated seat switches, ignition lock and door lock assemblies, and USB ports in 2021. The odometer indicates the mileage since work was completed.
A 3.5-liter V8 was taken out by Arkonik SVO in 2021 and replaced with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 taken from a sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, that 110 sends up to 430 HP and 424 lb.-ft. of torque, though potentially more due to modifications, to the rear or all four wheels by way of a GM 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case. Additional equipment includes a custom air intake system, a custom exhaust, Old Man Emu suspension components, a Wilwood brake booster and calipers, Tarox brake rotors, and upgraded steering components. The seller states that a POR-15 rust treatment was applied to parts of the underside in 2021 and the front pinion seal was replaced in May of 2021 as well as the rear pinion transfer case seal. Additionally, an oil change was reportedly performed in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include a spare tire, rubber floor mats, and a clean U.S. title.
