Finished in Iris Blue Metallic over a Blue partial leather interior, this 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was sold new from Fathers & Sons Porsche-Audi of West Springfield, Massachusetts, and remained with its original owner until 1994. The car was cared for by its second owner from 1994 up until 2019 and benefits from over $53k in refurbishment performed since 2017 including a new clutch, air-conditioning system overhaul, a new OEM windshield, new fuel lines, brake calipers, spark plugs, valve adjustments, and dry ice cleaning of the undercarriage. Showing just over 47k miles on the odometer, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
This 911 Carrera Coupe is finished in Iris Blue Metallic (S3) and has been fitted with H4 headlights. It rides on 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels measuring 6” wide in front and 8” wide in the rear. Recent refurbishment includes installation of a new OEM windshield, new Bridgestone tires, replacement of the washer system, hood shocks, passenger door handle, paintless dent removal, and dry ice cleaning of the undercarriage. The seller adds that the hood and decklid were refinished to address imperfections in the clear coat as well as the front bumper and left rear quarter panel for other minor cosmetic damages. The Blue partial leather interior includes power-operated seats, windows, and mirrors, an electric sunroof, air conditioning, and custom Coco floor mats. Since 2017, the driver’s seat switch was replaced, and the air conditioning system was overhauled with a new blower motor, condenser, and barrier lines. More recent refurbishment in 2023 included replaced and re-dyed sun visors, a new cigarette lighter, leather repair, rebuilt gauges by North Hollywood Speedometer, and installation of an upgraded Porsche Classic (PCCM) head unit with new speakers and an amplifier. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are fully functional.
This 911 is powered by an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine rated at 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle. Optional Sport Shock Absorbers came equipped from the factory, and the suspension has been lowered to European-spec ride height. Service performed since 2017 has included valve adjustments, routine oil changes, new spark plugs, a new clutch, alternator fan assembly, a new battery, fuel system cleaning, and replacement of all brake calipers. Since acquiring the car earlier in 2023, the current owner oversaw the replacement of the engine bay insulation pad, catalytic converter, valve diaphragm, breather hose, oil pressure switch, oil sender, and fuel lines as well as an oil change and brake system flush.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a clean title, service records, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

I saw the car in person this week and did not see any issue with the windshield. The car was in excellent shape inside and out.

@Stumanfoo I just uploaded a video. There’s definitely no scratch, crack or otherwise, in the Windshield as it is brand new.

Same car that sold at Mecum. We, Holtmotorsports in West Chester, traded the car from the man who bought it at Mecum. He’s gone thru dozens of 911’s.
He improved the car greatly and added a set of mint Fuchs.
This is a gorgeous car and highly sorted out prior to us getting it on trade on a GT3.
The current owner then spent a fortune taking the car to another level.
Rest assured, the transaxle shifts perfectly, the compression and leakdown is excellent.
It’s just a splendid 86 coupe in a killer color.
Tony, the man representing the car, is a well respected and very honest guy.
He runs a top flight exotic auto storage business where this car lives. The owner of the car is also
a stand up individual who is a highly regarded businessman in Philly.
There’s nothing being hidden here.

Is the amplifier bolted to the body of the car and do you have the original radio?
@peterten No, just the glass was replaced. I don't see any record of it needing the odometer gear.
@911carrera996 I uploaded the service invoices. There was a major service performed in 2017, and then a new clutch in 2021. It doesn't appear to have had a compression test done.

The headlights don’t look original as I am sure the original were sealed beam headlights. They look to be Flat6 LED lights.
Can you itemize what cost $53k as it just does not seem to get there from what was described above

Like a different car inside vs outside. Curious what color temperature the inside lights are vs time of day the outside photos were taken.
You are using a separate amplifier external to the head unit and the head unit is just a preamp right?
