Custom built to order through Porsche’s Sonderwunsche Special Wishes department, this Porsche 911 Turbo was moved from the general assembly line to Werk 1 in January of 1985 where it was converted by hand to Slant Nose specifications. It came factory-finished in Grand Prix White over black leather and specified with equipment for the European market as well as an optional limited-slip differential. BBS wheels, and electric Sport Seats. The car was delivered to its original caretaker in West Palm Beach and is said to have been previously owned by American sculptor and furniture artist Wendell Castle. Benefitting from extensive recent refurbishment including a resealed engine and rebuilt transmission, this rare 930 Slant Nose is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida showing approximately 84k miles on the odometer.

The Grand Prix White exterior features Slant Nose bodywork including flat front fenders with vents, rear fender vents, boxed rocker panels, and a vented front spoiler with integrated fog lights. Other factory equipment includes impact bumpers, a passenger-side mirror, a rear window wiper, a sunroof, and a windshield with green graduated tint. The pop-up headlight system is said to have been recently refurbished and the factory-optioned BBS E50 wheels have been refinished and dressed in period-style Michelin tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings.

The black leather interior features optional electrically operated Sport Seats as well as a factory alarm and Blaupunkt Koeln SQR 23 radio. A new leather dashboard has been recently installed and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

Rated at 300 HP, the turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and 40% limited slip differential. As part of the factory Slant Nose conversion, the oil cooler is relocated behind the front valence. An engine reseal and transmission rebuild are said to have been completed as part of a major recent service along with the installation of new oil lines and brakes.

This sale will include original owner's manuals and literature, a letter of authenticity, and a clean title.

    This car is real.

There is enough information out there that anyone with enough interest can educate themselves on the special wishes cars.

The front valance and the fog lights are not the correct ones on this car.

In my experience - some cars had some of the special wishes codes on the options sticker some did not (boxed rockers and quarter vent codes) - (84 to 86 SW cars usually have option stickers) - all the SW SN cars 81-86 had the front mounted oil cooler as it was part of the upgrade.

Nice to see that this car was driven a bit...hopefully whoever buys it will continue to enjoy it.

@930flachbau @930flachbau Based on our conversations with them over the phone, with us proving the VIN and pictures of the car they confirmed and provided the letter to us as you see below. Unfortunately, they confirmed that it was authentic and still how it was when it left Sonderwunsch but unfortunately didn't specify in detail the options in the letter. Attached below as well is the order sheet which shoes the special Z options. Thank you for the compliments and happy to hear you have an authentic slant nose as well.

@ASGMiami If I read your statement correctly, you received your letter from Porsche Classic? I received my letter from Porsche when Porsche's Certificate of Authenticity program was transitioning to Porsche Classic.......a sort of Twilight Zone, if you will. Was Porsche Classic able to provide more detailed info regarding the Sunderwunsch options installed at WERK I?
I am taken back by how the Slantnose's from year to year were different. My '85 Sonderwunsch, for instance, had seamless rear brake ducts integrated to the body and the front mounted oil cooler lines were routed through the front trunk (frunk) down to the cooler. Nice Slant. Good luck in your sale.

@ASGMiami When I show it I have the COA from PCA and also the letter from the factory confirming it's a factory Slantnose on a display board. But I mainly drive it as it's a true driver and not a garage queen. 112k miles and running strong. Leaving tomorrow for 2000 mile RT to NC for Rennsport Dragon event.

@fc356 Amazing to hear that you were able to get the documents for your Slant Nose, huge difference the letter makes for pedigree in the Slant Nose world.

  • fc356 (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ASGMiami I echo your statement re: documentation from Werks 1 Porsche factory. They supplied the same info for my 84 factory Slantnose 930...which was originally imported by Scottsdale Porsche in 1984...one of 33 built that year by Werks 1. CPparkcity has one of the 84 Slants in a grey shade IIRC.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@Cpparkcity That is correct, the Wrks1 letter for this example is uploaded to the photo gallery. Recently supplied by Porsche Classic.

  • Cpparkcity (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ASGMiami pre-1987 sonderwunch slant nose cars will not have a sticker under the hood. You need to get Porsche Classics obtain documents from Germany that this was a Sonderwunch slant nose conversion done at Werk1.

  • 930flachbau 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ASGMiami Special Wishes (Sonderwunsch) options were never added to the underhood sticker. The underhood sticker contained only those options installed from the Official Standard Porsche Options List. These cars were quite literally taken off the assembly line once completed, and taken over to the WERK I facility in Zuffenhausen for Sonderwunsch modifications.

Additional photo and video content has been added to the listing page.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@johnnyv555 That is correct the vehicle is sitting in the exact specification as it did when it left the factory form the Special Wishes department. The order sheet has been added.

The under-hood option sticker will be added to the photo gallery by the auction, this is a Special Wishes example that did not receive an option sticker listing all the options from the factory.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

We have reached out to the auction to add the 4 videos we took on the car as well as the order sheet of the vehicle for your viewing as many have requested. They have added already the major service invoices, Werks1 Porsche Letter, and paint meter readings.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@Balzan Please refer to the photo gallery for the paint meter readings. The clock unfortunately is not working.

  • johnnyv555 (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

Can you post the engine reseal repair order? Any compression readings? Can you post any cold start and driving videos? Are you stating the BBS wheels are a factory option? Any documentation of the options, usually the COA will list options, color etc…

  • Balzan (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

Good Morning. I wonder if the clock works? I saw above that there were paint meter readings attached but I don't see them and wonder if you can add them? Thank you.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago
