Cadillac began using the Brougham name in 1916 and would go on to use it for various models throughout the century. This 1986 example comes finished in Sable Black over a Black leather interior and is said to have spent its life in Palm Springs California. It was featured in two popular FX television series;  American Horror Story and Impeachment: American Crime Story. It features a  5.0L V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, a vinyl roof, Twilight Sentinel headlights, electronic climate control, a soft-closing trunk, a factory garage door opener, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Washington.

This Fleetwood comes finished in Sable Black with a red pinstripe and black vinyl top. The seller states that the finish remains in very good overall condition while showing some minor crazing on the trunk lid and a small ding in the driver’s door. Additional images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX. Details include chrome bumpers and trim, a power antenna, and a set of 15″ steel wheels equipped with chrome wire-spoke covers and Vogue tires.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in Black leather with matching door panels, carpets, and woodgrain accents. Amenities include electronic climate control, remote trunk release, a factory-equipped garage door opener, power windows and door locks, an AM/FM cassette stereo, 6-way power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, illuminated vanity mirrors, and Twilight Sentinel headlights. The headliner has been replaced and the air conditioning system was recently serviced with a new compressor, condenser, dryer, hoses, and R134A refrigerant. The seller notes that the cabin remains in excellent overall condition and confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.

Power comes from a fuel-injected 5.0L HT-4900 V8 which when new produced as much as 200 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed automatic transmission. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drum brakes. The CARFAX includes two service history entries, and a recent service is said to have included a new battery, alternator, belts, and a full oil and filter service.

This sale will include a clean title, owner's manuals, and four keys.

The seller would like you to know: "This car runs perfectly, air conditioning blows ice cold. The car gets a ton of attention at car shows and everywhere you go. It has been in television shows and movies. I don’t have documentation but the previous owner in Palm Springs can provide more details. He is a Cadillac collector and has owned this car twice."

@bhenrie these have exploded on the collector car market. Like I said a 1992 with 38k miles just sold at auction for $70,000.00 but they have been averaging $20-$40k in the current market. Also 1980s and 1990s cars in general are exploding on the collector car market as the kids who couldn’t afford those cars back then are buying they cars they wanted as teenagers.

@Freemaha, Agreed, triple black is something special. Nice car, will be watching....

  • Freemaha (seller) 10 months, 2 weeksago

@cascadia I know it is not worth $70k but you can have a very similar ownership Experience for a lot less money. Additionally finding a triple black example in excellent condition with low miles is no easy task and should represent an excellent value for one lucky bidder.

To be fair, the other Fleetwood you mentioned had 38K miles and was the final incarnation of the series with the 5.7L motor, not the 5.0L. Makes a big difference in value. In my opinion, the paint flaws you mention, as well as the burn-through on the pinstripes affect the value here. Still, nice looking car with a good odometer.

It’s not looking like we are going to sell at this rate. A triple black low mile 1992 triple black Fleetwood sold on Bat for $70,000. Other Fleetwoods of various conditions from this area are going for $20k to $40k. I have one of the very few triple black Fleetwoods from this era and I have a low reserve. I encourage you to do your research on these. You may have the opportunity of a lifetime sitting in front of you. Let me know if you have any questions about this beautiful rate triple black low mileage Fleetwood.

Meant to say you cannot see any paint imperfections in the photos. It’s an original paint car and to make it absolutely perfect it would need some exterior detailing.

  • Freemaha (seller) 10 months, 2 weeksago

@tpcarmarket you you can really see the minor paint concerns in the photos. Nothing a good detail shouldn’t cure.

  • Freemaha (seller) 10 months, 2 weeksago

Good morning bidders! This Fleetwood shows detailed and unbroken mileage documentation dating back more than 30 years and 30 records. That along with the condition on the car confirms correct mileage.

How detailed are service records? Is the true mileage 70, 170, 270?
Better pics of trunk lid and drivers door issues? Thanks
