The Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a GM-produced sport utility vehicle, nicknamed “square-body,” and features a half-cab design with a removable hardtop. This 1986 example is said to have been refurbished between 2017 and 2019, including the installation of a 5.3-liter Vortec V8, a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, and several additional improvements. Refinished in red over matching cloth upholstery, this K5 Blazer is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Wyoming.

This K5 has been refinished in its current shade of red as part of the restoration and features a removable hardtop. Exterior details include a bowtie hood ornament, chrome bumpers and matching trim, model designation emblems, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes the rear window fails to retract via the tailgate key switch and a dent is present on the tailgate molding. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. It rides on 15” wheels dressed in General Grabber tires and a Goodyear Wrangler spare tire.

Inside, the cabin presents red cloth upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, rear side panels, and carpets. Equipment includes front bucket seats, a folding rear bench, power windows and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, a locking center console, and an aftermarket RetroSound stereo paired with a JL Audio subwoofer and amplifier. The seller adds that the air conditioning compressor was replaced in July 2018. Additionally, a carpeted dashboard cover has been installed and some cracks in the dash pad are provided in the gallery.

Power comes from a 5.3L Vortec V8 engine sourced from a later-model GM truck under current ownership. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 700R4 4-speed automatic gearbox and a replacement dual-range transfer case. The exhaust system has been replaced and 2.25” piping and dual outlets were fitted. Additional service items include the replacement of the cruise control switch, throttle cable, oxygen sensor, and an exhaust gasket, along with the replacement of the transmission oil cooler, front pinion shaft seal, transfer case shaft seals, rear axle shaft seals, and driveshaft and axle U-joints. Warn manually locking front hubs are equipped and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The front brakes were replaced in August of 2018, the brake master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, and rear shoes were replaced in 2019, and the Moroe Spectrum shocks were replaced in July 2019.

This sale will include a clean title.
