Making its debut in 1984, the highly updated Carrera 3.2 was last iteration in the original 911 series and would become one of the most quintessential sports cars of the 1980’s. Clearly garage kept, the classic Guards Red paint on this 911 is believed to be all original as per the provided paint meter readings. It is in truly fantastic condition, bearing only a few small imperfections. This 3.2 retains its original 16” anodized Fuchs wheels, which remain in like-new condition and come wrapped in brand new Continental Contact DSW tires. The cabriolet top, windows, lights, and exterior trim all stand in great condition for this vehicle’s age. Highly original and still showing beautifully, this 1986 Carrera is an absolute time capsule.
Inside, this Carrera is fitted with a clean and complete tan leather interior. The highly desirable factory equipped sport seats remain in excellent shape and are believed to have been protected by seat covers most of their life. This 911 retains its factory installed Blaupunkt radio and is fitted with aftermarket speakers behind the original speaker grilles. All electronics are stated to be in excellent working order.
A massive update over the previous SC model, the 911 Carrera 3.2 boasted all new braking, electronic, and suspension technologies as well as an updated 3.2L flat-six engine. This Carrera’s new and improved power plant delivers 207HP to the rear wheels via a 5-speed 915 transmission; allowing for a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds and a top speed of around 150mph. @Jb423 Hello and thanks for your questions. The A/C functions and blows cold air. There are no grinding gears and the shifting and the clutch feel great. At this point the car needs nothing. No leaks. I had it serviced and looked over when I got it. The only things it needed were a fresh oil change, brake fluid flush and new belts, which I had done at that time. I hope that helps.
Is AC functional? Is there any grinding of gears? Clutch ever replaced? Oil leaks? Any issues that need attention at this point?
