This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe comes factory-finished in the rare combination of Guards Red over Grey Green leather upholstery. It features a 3.2-liter flat-six engine, a 5-speed manual transaxle, front and rear spoilers, a rear window wiper, front fog lights, 16” Fuchs alloy wheels, updated R134a air conditioning, cruise control, an electric sunroof, and a Blaupunkt stereo. The car was purchased by its current owner in 2022 after being serviced with a valve adjustment, new brakes, drive belts, oil return tubes, spark plugs, a battery, and an alternator the year prior. This Carrera is now being offered for auction out of Minnesota with approximately 28k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in Guards Red, the exterior includes body-colored headlamp rings, integrated front fog lights, a front chin spoiler, heated power mirrors, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, and a whale tail rear spoiler. The car rides on 16” Fuchs alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The seller notes the rear decklid has been refinished, some paint crazing can be seen on the driver’s side fender, paint chips are present on the mirrors and front bumper, and the fog lights are currently inoperable. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Grey Green leather upholstery with grey carpets below. Accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, power windows and door locks, updated R134a air conditioning, cruise control, analog VDO instrumentation, a radar detector, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. The air conditioning evaporator was replaced in 2022, and the system was recharged in 2024. The seller notes that the passenger seat forward adjustment lever is missing, and the instrument cluster was repaired in 2021.
Factory-rated at 202 HP and 185 lb-ft of torque, the air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed Type 915 manual transaxle. Service completed in 2021 includes a valve adjustment and replacement of the oil return tubes, drive belts, spark plugs, battery, alternator, brake pads, rotors, hoses, and right rear brake caliper. The front main seal and shift fork cover seal were also replaced in July 2024.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Excellent example low mileage car, original paint, rare Grey Green interior combination, Porsche-branded radar, all interior functions operational. Everything a Porsche should be.”

@WDW Any constructive input is always welcome. The color is a bit difficult to describe as you can imagine. Grey Green or Granite Green, it is still an unusual color combination that we have come to love!
Thank you for your input !
Hi @Pilatus and thank you for your bid.
About the interior color. Not sure how helpful this is, but I sold an ‘88 here that was granite green metallic. From the photos, which I know can be misleading, the interior looked just like this one.

Hi @dwhite
I missed one part of your question. We had the undercarriage detailed about a month ago before photos.
Good morning everyone!
Today is the day!
Our auction ends at 150 pm CST
Don’t forget to set a reminder for yourself.
We appreciate everyone’s questions and bids so far.
Take this one home!
Hi @dwhite
The car has not been dry iced. We did however have the undercarriage detailed. Unfortunately we do not have any before photos.
Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding!!
When was the engine and underside dry ice cleaned? Would have been nice to see the original condition of the car.
@Turnkey-Classics thanks for the quick update.
Best of luck!

Hi @bassboat
First, thank you for your bid.
We are only in contact with the current and second owner of the car. From records the car was originally in Kansas before being moved to Arizona to be with the second owner who did not daily it, more babied it according to the miles. Via service records we can accurately put together an idea of miles added. We can only assume that the car had some fun during the beginning of its life in Kansas. The chips were reported to us by the second owner and said to have been there when purchased.

The roadrash (chips) on front and side mirrors seems extensive, normally seen on high mileage vehicles... Any info or rational for why so many chips?

It looks gorgeous, I wish I was in the market for one.

Hi @zollerm
From our understanding the "LS" identification denotes the color of the interior. We are open to any other members to correct us as well.
Thank you and good luck bidding !

I believe the grey green color scheme of the interior is referred to as "granite." If I have misspoke would one of our learned members please correct me. Thanks, and GLWTS.
