@Belizeit That's not something I have sorry. The car represents itself. I have been working on and inspecting high end cars most of my career and this one checks out well.

  • Belizeit (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

May I have the original owners phone number to get additional history on this 911?

  • Sdoane2kdoane (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@Suzzzier123 I took it on trade for a high end Mercedes several months ago. The engine number is correct on the car and we have no records and there is no indication that the engine or transmission have had any major work done to it!

    Where can it be seen?

  • Sdoane2kdoane (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@Caymanorcarrera The car is in very nice overall condition. The underside is dirty but near perfect with no rust anywhere that I can see. As for the Targa top being replaced were talking about the material that is physically on the top itself. The exhaust is beautiful and the fitment is perfect Fabspeed quality. I've been in the Mercedes restoration business virtually my whole life and know a nice solid car when I see one and this one certainly is that. Its priced to sell and would make someone a very nice car for sure.

Lots of new pieces underneath, but I'm not comfortable commenting on rust, or the exhaust, which looks tidy but, as a 911 theologian, I'd just prefer a single outlet.

These cars are super stout, and the rust-proofing was better in '86 than M-B did with the Sprinter vans 20 years later! Remember, the g body cars were all galvanized since the late seventies.

I'm not impressed with the level of information from our Seller, but perhaps it's being provided through other channels. I'm not really sure what "Targa Top replaced" means, and I have no idea what exhaust was installed. Then again, if it's a flip, our Seller just doesn't have the info.

Interesting car to evaluate. It LOOKS really good in the pic's, but enough questions to really want a PPI by a qualified inde.

    GLWA.

Nice looking original 3.2 Carrera Targa.

I'd prefer single exhaust, and the stone guards on the rear fenders are for a 930; they make skinnier ones for the narrow bodied cars.

Fun follow........hope we get to see it change hands.

  • jensen04 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@Sdoane2kdoane thank you for the responses.
PCAR please see seller's points about additional pics and video that did not make the listing.
    thank you.

    - pics of the back end show significant white specs on the engine lid and bumperettes. is the the pic quality, debris, or flaws in the surfaces? This is picture quality is all...paint is very nice.

    - pic 66/67 shows some rust coming through as well as questionable seem welds. Any repair work and/or rust issues? The seams are factory and there is minimal rust on the car anywhere.

    - pic 38 of the driver door jam looks like many many paint nicks?
    - pic 39 of passenger door jam, touch up paint? There are a few nicks and scratches on the car and very little places that have been touched up whatsoever. The car is 34 years old and has 85k miles on it. It was never abused and never been painted.

    - undercarriage pics? Facts related to mechanical condition/leaks? I sent in pictures of the undercarriage but they never made the listing. Maybe Dylan can help here....I cant see a way to send them to you!?

    - Targa roll bar looks repainted and/or blistering?I dont believe the roll bar has been painted but it does have some chips and maybe a little blisters here and there.

    - front seat leather looks amazing. Bolsters look loosely fitted. any issues? The seats were done by Jack at GAHH and are very nice and tight. So wrinkles on the sides but nothing concerning. You will be very pleased with the leather.

    - lower dash shows several stains? This was something sprayed in the ignition switch to lube it up....it wiped right off. No issue

    - Cold start and driving videos? There was also a cold start and walk around video that didn't make the site. There are no issues and the car starts and runs flawlessly.

A lot of undercarriage work and maintenance. New axles, sway bars and links, new Michelin tires, targa top replaced, all new exhaust. Full tune-up.

Hope this helps....let me know if there is anything I can do on this end ok?

    Kind regards

Very cool car, just want to understand the details. The write does not provide enough detail to assess the car properly. Please provide additional factual information regarding condition and work performed.
    thank you.
