This 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe was originally delivered by Vasek Polak Porsche-Audi of Hermosa Beach, California, and was ordered from the factory in the Paint to Sample color of Meteor Metallic over a Burgundy full leather interior along with an optional limited-slip differential and a rear model designation delete. It was acquired by the seller in 1986 after spending a short time with the original owner and was eventually sold to a collector in 1994 who drove the car sparingly for the next 9 years. It was repurchased by the seller in 2003 and remains part of his private collection to this day. This 930 is now being offered for auction out of Georgia with just over 38k miles showing on the odometer.

The 911 Turbo includes wider bodywork than a contemporary Carrera along with black stone guards on the rear fenders, a Tea Tray rear spoiler, and a front valence with integrated fog lights and a rubber chin spoiler. This example is presented in its original Paint to Sample (L999) color of Meteor Metallic and features aftermarket 17” Fikse FM-10 wheels. It rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires that were mounted about 2 years ago, and the original set of 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels are also said to be included with the sale. The owner adds that the car has been kept indoors for most of its life and much of the mileage was added during its early years on the road. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features premium Burgundy full leather (YY) upholstery with matching carpets and headliner. Accessories include electrically adjustable seats, power windows, heated power mirrors, an electric sliding sunroof, a rear window wiper, headlight washers, a leather-covered steering wheel, a central locking system, air-conditioning, a tachometer-integrated boost pressure gauge, and a Blaupunkt Memphis CR84 cassette stereo. The seller describes the interior to be in very good condition apart from some broken stitches on the inner steering wheel.

A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine provides up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission and a factory-optioned limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller indicates the car has been properly maintained with the last routine service completed at Perimeter Porsche of Atlanta.

This sale will include some service records, the original window sticker, and a clean title. The CARFAX report shows a potential mileage discrepancy in 1994, although this is believed to be a clerical error.

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for reviewing my 86-930. I have owned or followed this vehicle since 1986. In great shape for this vintage. A notable head turner in a collection or as a daily driver. 99% of its time was spent in climate-controlled storage.”

Thank you for the reply. I have to believe that the mileage issues will hold back your auction result.

  • Turboguy123--- (seller) 10 monthsago

@Jb423 tires are less than 2 yrs old. Minimal use

  • Turboguy123--- (seller) 10 monthsago

    @Jb423 l mileage is at 38,000 approximately

  • Turboguy123--- (seller) 10 monthsago

@Jb423 Car was re registered several times as I was relocated. These appear to be errors on dmv registration car has had minimal mileage since it’s only been taken out for services and a monthly couple of mile circuit to keep parts lubed. A/c working when pics taken week ago

  • Jb423 (registered bidder) 10 monthsago

Most recent carfax mileage says 80k miles in 2009? 12 miles per year 07, 08, 09? Another error? How old are tires? AC work?

  • Silver930 (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

Photo 93 cleary show some sort of mildew on the rear seat backs not uncommon on leather seats I have seen this on many Porsches. Easy to clean off in 2 minutes This happen while sitting in garages with no light and storage for long periods of time.
I see the steering wheel leather has come apart and that can be fixed I had a place redo my buddys 928s4 non airbag steering wheel recently at a place in Texas call Craft customs about $800. Came out perfect factory look / match.
This is one of the best color combo 930 coupe I have seen. Very German not flashy just classy. Miles are low and these 1986 >89 cars are a sweet spot for me.
I would love to see it with the original 16 7 and 9" Fuchs. Fuchsfelge makes them again.
    Good luck with the sale.

What appears to be mildew spots could be excess cleaning/preservation products that were not totally removed when detailing the leather interior. I had the same thing happen on a previous vehicle and I could only see them when the light hit the surface at just the right angle.

@Revemup1 and @Turboguy123 Was wondering same thing. Photo #84 looks like mildew spots. I will say I have seen this on other Porsches, so not sure if it is the tanning process that makes for a sensitive reaction or what is going on.

  • Turboguy123--- (seller) 10 months, 1 weekago

I will try before auction ends but it is iffy given mechanic lead times.

  • AdamoPitaliano (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

Beautiful car @Seller! Any chance the glade has had a compression or leak down, or can before the auction end? Also, is the paint believed to be original, and can we see paint meter readings? Thank You

This 911 was my favorite of all Porsches.........We had some great local group events......While carfax references a mileage discrepancy ,all service records comport with actual mileage. This must be a clerical error
