Images of the underbody and service records are provided in the photo gallery for reference.

This sale will include an ignition, door lock, and alarm key, the original books, tools, spare tire, and wheel locks, a clean title, a vast collection of records, and a copy of the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.  For any discerning collector, this impeccably well-preserved and tastefully optioned Turbo is not to be overlooked.

@PCARMARKET Hello Jeff...I chuckle when reading some of these questions/comments...I won't say which ones, but the intelligent readership surely knows!
I've inspected this car recently and it is amazing. Truly, as you have presented it. Original paint, hence no bondo (really? bondo with original paint...from the factory, maybe...ha!), and I wonder if a mechanic would really completely disassemble a Porsche front end suspension and components because they were exterminating odors....ones that can't be detected now... 50 years of being among the best of the best technicians....never have I heard of such a thing. This car has the richness of Porsche leather fragrance from the 80's.....euphoric to the Porschephile.
Good luck...I can't enter the collector market at this level...but if I could.....and someone is going to get an entrant to their collection of which to be proud..

@rinkerk Additional photos have been added to the photo gallery.

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@rinkerk I took pics of all the carpets because I do not know where nest was and there is no footprint either aromic or visibly.
Once I discern how to add the pictures they will be up.Carpet in cockpit and trunk still look new.
I know this is fodder for conversation but had it not been written on one of the tickets not one of us would have known or smelled.
    pictures coming shortly

  • rinkerk (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Thanks. Possible to take a pic of the area of the carpet where the nest was?

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@rinkerk cannot address the activity only the result.THERE ABSOLUTELY IS NO ODOR other than nice Porsche aroma. It could not have ben much of a nest,I trade vintage European cars and have a sensitivity to aromas such as old fuel, cat urine as well as mice. This car has nothing but nice, fresh,Porsche smell

  • rinkerk (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

On the rat's nest issue, the mechanic indicated that to entirely eliminate the smell the front end would have to be taken apart and washed with hot water and bleach and the carpet would need to be replaced. Was this done?

    @Jpfrazier4211 Thanks

I will assume no Bondo if the car has not been repainted.

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@MichaelSteele THE CAR IS ORIGINAL PAINT! No bondo
No sticker under hood, not all had sticker.Have COA that numbers match with.

  • MichaelSteele (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Do the engine and gearbox numbers match with the number on the decal on the underside of the hood?

Is there any bondo on the car body?

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

    @Ravenna45 Good Monday morning.
The car came to me with a California TEMP Tag still on it so would have no reason to believe this California example would not have all the smog equipment still intact.Visually it looks all is in order

  • Ravenna45 (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Jeff my experience with CPR has not been that stellar.
Are all smog pieces in place and will it smog in California?

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@MichaelSteele You would be surprised how many nest I remove from
Cars with low mileages. They sit and visitors come nesting
No residue in odor whatsoever ,as a fact the original aroma from a fresh Porsche comes wafting out of the cockpit upon opening the doors

  • MichaelSteele (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

I misread drooping the engine (read as rebuilding). I assume this was necessary to service the clutch. I will look at the CPR restoration receipts in more detail.

    Thanks.

The cleaning out the rats nest in 2009 is a bit off putting.

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

    Michael,
You shook me up a minute stating engine rebuild.I do not see an engine rebuild on any receipts.Timing house reseals, clutch ,various conscientious services as well as regular maintenance but I saw no engine rebuild. It is late Saturday evening so if I missed something please correct me.
CPR restoration Services in California provided a great deal of attention to the car.
You may want to review this shop. They are one of the top tier shops in the country.

  • MichaelSteele (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Also when reviewing the work tickets I see the engine was rebuilt among some other unusual work. With such low mileage is there a story behind the extent of the repair work required?

  • MichaelSteele (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@Jpfrazier4211 I had to give it a shot. Can you share with me the name of the shop that has maintained the car and the name of a contact?

    Michael

  • Jpfrazier4211 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

    Michael
I understand but as GT3suds points out,it is an auction.
Put your best foot forward and see how it plays out.
Good Luck as this is a special example that warrants a good hard evaluation

  • Gt3suds (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@MichaelSteele Michael, that is kind of entire point of an auction. I do understand what you mean, the way I would structure is simple. Give your best and final if you have a hard stop price.

  • MichaelSteele (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Is it possible to get an idea of the reserve amount? I'm interested, but don't want to get into a bidding competition if a sale is ultimately beyond reach.
