Porsche debuted the 944 Turbo (951) in 1986 with enhancements including a turbocharged and intercooled engine, refined aerodynamics, reinforced suspension, and upgraded brakes compared to the base 944. This launch-year example comes finished in Black over matching upholstery and features an optional limited-slip differential. It is now being offered by its seller out of New York with approximately 71k miles showing on the odometer.
The 944 Turbo is distinguished from a standard 944 by its more rounded aerodynamic nose with an integrated bumper and driving lights as well as a body-colored diffuser below the rear bumper. This example is finished in Black and rides on 16” phone dial wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 tires from 2017. The seller notes a rear wiper has been added, although it has not yet been wired. Additionally, a ceramic coating has been applied. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor rear eng damage in 1991.
The cabin presents black partial leather upholstery and features an optional electric sunroof. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, black floor mats with red embroidered “PORSCHE” logos, power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, a digital clock, a locking glove box, and folding rear seatbacks. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be working properly. Additionally, a new Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB radio and Club Sport steering wheel & hub are said to accompany the sale.
A turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter inline-four engine delivers up to 220 HP and 243 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The 944 Turbo features a stiffer suspension than a standard 944 and shares its fixed 4-piston Brembo brakes with the contemporary 911 Carrera. The seller reports all required maintenance has been performed, including the following: On March 9, 2023, the timing belt, rollers, and tensioners were replaced, the brake fluid was flushed, motor mounts were checked, and the clutch slave and master cylinders were replaced. On January 26, 2022, the ignition wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor were replaced, and the front hood insulation pads were replaced. On June 19, 2024, the AC compressor was replaced and the system was charged.
This sale will include a clean title (lien), owner’s manuals, some documentation, and a custom indoor car cover.

@Footnfan I did not sell it at auction here but chose to set the listing up as the “asking price” option. I want 35K for the car based on its contours condition and it is 100% original and everything functions as it should. Thank you for your interest.
