Wefalia-Werke, renowned for crafting Volkswagen camper vans, takes its name from the Westfalia region in Germany where the company is located. This 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Westfalia has been refinished in its original white over tan combination and features a “pop top” roof, a refrigerator, a stove, cabinetry, privacy curtains, swiveling front seats, and much more. Reported to have undergone recent maintenance, this Westfalia is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada showing approximately 160k miles on the odometer.
This Westfalia is said to have been refinished in its factory white color in August of 2023. Details include square and rectangular headlights and taillights, fog lights, a third brake light, front and rear impact bumpers, fender liners, mud flaps, and an aftermarket front spoiler. It rides on 16” VW steel wheels with original lug nuts and Yokohama Avid S34 wheels from 2016. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is upholstered in tan and dark brown cloth and features reclining and swiveling front captain chairs. The rear includes a fold-out sleeper bench as well as a kitchenette with a stove, refrigerator, and sink. Other amenities include a fold-out table, storage compartments, privacy curtains, a ceiling lamp, and a “pop top” roof which reveals extra headspace as well as a roof-mounted double bed. The seller adds that a tactile 7” radio along with a retractable 7” touchscreen radio with a backup camera has been fitted. The seller reports that the air conditioning does not work and that the compressor needs to be replaced.
This Westfalia equips a water-cooled 2.1-liter overhead-valve pushrod flat-four engine which sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. Recent service is said to have included the installation of new shocks, brakes, brake lines, belts, a new muffler, spark plugs, filters, and fluids.
This sale will include a clean title and owner’s manuals.
