This 1987 Land Rover is a first-generation Range Rover “Classic” that was delivered new by Henly's Land Rover of London as a lefthand drive home market example. The original owner commissioned London-based coachbuilders Wood & Pickett to perform several bespoke customizations including a completely retrimmed interior in white leather with blue piping, wood veneers, and a matching leather headliner. It was purchased by the current owner from a notable Land Rover historian and has been kept in dry storage for the past several years. Having been recommissioned with a Land Rover Classic service earlier in 2023, this Range Rover is now being offered for auction out of Switzerland with approximately 56k kilometers on the odometer.

This Range Rover is finished in Caspian Blue and features custom white coachlines by Wood & Pickett as well as white vinyl-covered external pillars and 15” Wolfrace with a matching rear-mounted spare. A “Sheer” front grille conversion was also installed by W&P and is included with the sale. The truck rides on BF Goodrich all-terrain tires and the seller describes the exterior to be in very good overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin was completely reupholstered by Wood & Pickett with white leather upholstery contrasted by blue piping and extensive wood trim. Details include a Margrave dashboard conversion, blue carpeting with white binding, a white leather headliner, and contrasting blue leather covering the dashboard, sun visors, and two-spoke steering wheel. Driver amenities include power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, a central analog clock, a locking glovebox, a heated rear window, a cassette holder, and an aftermarket Alpine Bluetooth head unit. The interior is described to be in excellent condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.

This Range Rover is equipped with a 3.5-liter Rover V8 featuring electronic fuel injection and an output of up to 150 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a 4-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer caser and a locking center differential. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at each corner. The seller indicates the vehicle was always maintained at authorized Land Rover facilities and a Land Rover Classic service was completed earlier in 2023 in preparation for sale.

This sale will include some documentation, a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery charger, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Range Rover 3.5 EFI by Wood & Pickett. This custom-built Range Rover was delivered new by Henly's Land Rover of London on the 22nd of May 1987, as a LHD home market example. Having been sent to W&P's Park Royal facilities, it was modified per its owner’s requests. Finished in Caspian blue with white trim, it boasts an entirely retrimmed interior in matching white and blue leathers, and extensive wood finishings. Purchased from a famous Land Rover historian, and dry stored for the past few years, it displays 56'000km on the clock and drives faultlessly following its recommissioning earlier this year. Costing nearly as much as a Lamborghini Countach, each Wood and Pickett car was tailor-made to its owner's specific requirements.
