Now up for auction is this 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Black. Marking the inaugural year for the desirable G50 5-speed manual gearbox, this 1987 example also came optioned with a Lipstick Red interior, electrically adjustable and heated Sport Seats, 16” forged alloy wheels, central locking, and high-pressure windshield washers. Kept in storage under the care of a longtime owner from 2000 up until 2019, this Cabriolet was recently acquired by the seller and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida showing just over 86k miles on the odometer.
This 911 comes finished in Black with a matching cabriolet top. The car is said to have been completely refinished at some point under prior ownership and the exterior benefits from a recent application of ceramic coating. The convertible top mechanism was refurbished under the seller's care with a realignment of the frame, new hardware, and lubrication. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to have occurred in 1993. This Carrera rides on factory 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels that were reportedly dressed in a set of new Riken Raptor tires within the last 1k miles.
Inside, this 1987 example showcases a striking Lipstick Red interior with a contrasting black dashboard and carpeting. The factory Sport Seats are heated, electrically adjustable, and are said to have been previously reupholstered in vinyl. Other factory options include a steering wheel with an elevated hub, high-pressure windshield washers, headlamp washers, central locking, and an alarm system. Some discoloration is noted on the door panels and the A/C does not blow cold at this time. The seller confirms that the A/C compressor is functional, although the evaporators are in need of replacement. All other gauges and accessories are said to be working properly including the vintage Alpine stereo. CARFAX shows a branded title (not actual mileage) to have been issued in 1995, and the seller reports that a clean Florida title will accompany the sale. The car’s mileage is corroborated by CARFAX.
This Carrera is equipped with an air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine rated at 217 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a Getrag 5-speed (G50) manual gearbox. Recent service items addressed by the seller include a new alternator belt and oil change. A catalytic converter bypass pipe has been installed and as a result, the car will not meet California emissions requirements.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, toolkit, spare tire, and a clean Florida title.

Nice looking car! Would love to see a video of a cold start and a driving.
Current title is not Branded
Clean clear Florida title has no brands
CARFAX clearly shows the miles to be actual, What I mean by that is the miles is not lower or higher they all seem to add up every year it shows there’s more miles instead of lower miles
@Selo back in 1987 the Porsche was shipped to Puerto Rico, Then in 1992 and ended up in New York, If you look at the CARFAX details I believe the miles are actual, It shows in 1995 not actual miles, then in 1996 it doesn’t show and after that it doesn’t say not Actual Miles, if you look at the Carfax the miles match, So it’s pretty weird why it say not Actual Miles, The Florida title I have is clean and clear and is not Branded, I believe New York State made a mistake in 1995, After that I went to two other states, where it was Marked clean, The paint looks flawless.
If the branded title is due to inaccurate mileage, what do we believe the actual mileage to be?
After having been refinished at some point, does the paint show well, or is it beginning to crack in any places?
Has there been an estimate of the cost of replacing or repairing the air conditioning system?
Bid in the amount of $5,000
