Marking the launch year of the improved 5-speed G50 manual gearbox, this 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Guards Red over Linen leather upholstery. It comes equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, a central locking system, 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels, and an upgraded Porsche Classic stereo. It was sold new from Schilling Imports of Memphis and remained registered in Tennessee before being purchased by the current owner in 2019 with about 2k miles driven since. This classic air-cooled 911 is now being offered for auction out of Rhode Island with just under 45k miles on the odometer.
This 911 is finished in Guards Red (L80K) with a black convertible top and matching boot cover. Other equipment includes integrated front fog lights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, a periscope-style brake light, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires show date codes from 2006. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Linen leather upholstery complemented by matching carpets, contrasting black Porsche-branded floor mats, and a black leather four-spoke steering wheel. Other accessories include power windows, air-conditioning, cruise control, an optional central locking system, an optional elevated steering wheel hub, and an upgraded Porsche Classic radio.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 217 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. The seller states an oil change has been recently completed along with a brake fluid flush last week.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

@Sewaneegradf
Please see the undercarriage photos in the gallery. No, there is no rust anywhere on our G50. The Cabriolet is as tight as a new car.
Any rust on the floor pans? Do the floor pans flex on turns? Does it feel “squishy” at all (for lack of a better term)? Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $5,500
See top photos in gallery, top and rear window are very good and luckily it's a manual top.
@LJB790
We haven't done a compression check but the car does run as well as any we've driven (and we've driven many). Happy to arrange a live FaceTime inspection or pre-purchase @ our shop (tools and lift).
Nice cab, any compression numbers available? What is the condition of the top? Would the seller agree to replace old tires?

We very familiar with Porsche’s in general and this car in particular. It is one of the tightest air-cooled Cab we have driven and a top 5%-10% car from a mechanical and cosmetic standpoint. Bid with confidence, it’s a very nice example.
