For the 1987 model year, Porsche’s 911 Carrera received an improved 5-speed G50 manual gearbox as well as increased horsepower for U.S. specification engines.  This Carrera Coupe had been sold new in Texas and was imported to Mexico City in 1987.  The car has since undergone a full restoration as well as a major service in 2022 by the specialists at ProRally. It features Turbo-style spoilers, an upgraded Fabspeed exhaust, and larger Fuchs-style wheels. Showing under 45k miles on the odometer, this G50-equipped Carrera is now being offered by its seller out of Mexico.

This Carrera comes finished in traditional Guards Red paint and features Turbo-style front and rear spoilers, integrated front fog lights, black stone guards, and upgraded Fabspeed exhaust tips. The car rides on a set of 17” Fuchs-style wheels dressed in new Michelin Pilot Super Sport sized 245/40 rear and 205/45 in front. The exterior is said to have been completely refinished during a restoration under prior ownership and a small scratch is noted behind the passenger-side door, additional images are provided in the gallery.

The black partial leather interior comes outfitted with a pair of electrically adjustable seats, black carpet mats with red Porsche lettering, and a vintage aftermarket stereo paired with upgraded speakers in the doors and rear shelf.  The seller reports all gauges and accessories remain fully functional.

The air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine produces up to 217 HP in stock configuration and drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. An upgraded Fabspeed dual exhaust system has been equipped along with silicone heater tubes and an aftermarket airbox cover. A major service was reportedly completed during the restoration of the car in 2019 and more recent maintenance completed by ProRally in 2022 included service of the engine, gearbox, and brakes.

This sale will include a clean title. Buyers in the U.S. are responsible for import logistics as well as all applicable fees and taxes.

@zachlangan Hello!! Thanks for your questions.

    There was a misunderstanding.

For the sale in the United States of America the sales person is able to manage the logistics for the import into the US.

The seller will also have to pay the taxes equivalent to 3% of the cars value as well as $1,500 USD. This only applies to a sale made in the US.

The seller will also have to pay the transportation fees from Mexico towards Laredo, Texas. The seller will have to pay the legalization fees of the car for the US. The buyer will have to pay for the transportation fees from Laredo Texas towards their desired destination.

The payment to the customs agent is already included within these prices.

    @Johnny3 thanks for your questions.

Rims were bought in Sierra Madre Collection

They look amazing on the car

  • zachlangan (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

@Maggio.1 I'm in Texas and interested in the car. When you say "the sales person is able to manage the logistics for the import into the US" do you mean they will do the customs paperwork? I see the buyer is responsible to get the car from Mexico City to Laredo, TX then from Laredo, TX to wherever. So what specifically are the logistics that the sales person will manage? Thanks

  • jj081101 2 yearsago

Hey im interested.. but do you actually ship/import it to the europe? like to switzerland specifically?. and if yes regarding the documents, will it be handled by the import agency? Kindly let me know thank you.

What brand are the wheels? I like the look of the 17" diameter Fuchs quite a bit

  • Maggio.1 (seller) 2 yearsago

@live2drive_porsche Thank you very much for your questions and interest.

On Monday we will upload the pictures of the underside of the car, also I will post the service records and another one of the dash (it is in great conditions no crack at all)

  • live2drive_porsche (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Very nice looking 87! Just few questions..... I was wondering if any of the service records are available? Are any additional photos available for the underside? Is it possible to get a photo of the dash top? It appears there may be a crack on the dash in photo 28. Is there any idea when the re-spray was completed? Thanks!
