We are pleased to present this backdated 1987 Porsche 911 tribute finished in Fashion Grey over a custom-tailored black interior with houndstooth seat inserts. Purchased 5 years ago in driver-grade condition, this 1987 example was treated to a full bare-metal custom restoration resulting in the one-of-a kind tribute we see today. Showcasing a steel long-nose conversion and a fully rebuilt and upgraded factory 3.2 L engine mated to a G50 5-speed manual transmission, this 911 offers classic styling and visceral air-cooled performance. Said to have been driven minimally since the completion of the restoration; this Carrera is now being offered for auction in superb condition by its seller in Vancouver, Canada.
Burrard Autostrasse of Vancouver was commissioned to perform a full bare-metal rotisserie refinish on this 911 in Fashion Grey. During this time all new body seals were installed and the brightwork was also reconditioned with the window trim redone in a milky clear finish. The paint is noted to be in excellent condition as could be seen in the photo gallery. A long-nose conversion was carried out using steel front fenders as well as a lightweight composite fiberglass front hood and bumper. Other noteworthy modifications include a composite fiberglass RS rear bumper, a steel Porsche decklid and updated HID headlights with color-matched trim rings. This Carrera rides on refinished 16” Fuchs wheels which come dressed in Bridgestone Potenza tires.
Inside, the cabin has been custom upholstered in black with replica period front seats featuring houndstooth center inserts. Unique details include a MOMO steering wheel, radio-delete plate and a rear seat delete as well as aluminum floorboards and pedals. The air conditioning has been removed and the odometer has been nonfunctional since the time of the restoration, although the seller confirms all other gauges and accessories to be fully operational.
This 911 carries its original air cooled 3.2 L flat-six engine which was fully rebuilt in 2019. Invoices included for the rebuild also highlight upgrades including a Dansk sport muffler and an SSI exhaust conversion with custom heating. The rear wheels are driven by way of a numbers matching G50 5-speed manual transmission with a newly installed clutch. With minimal usage on the freshly rebuilt engine, this 911 is ready to be driven and enjoyed by a new owner.

@Juddy_Roller You won't know until the auction is over. The car will have met reserve and sold, or it didn't. I do know that the dealer selling t his car has it listed on their website for $134,900CAD ($102,518USD). I expect the reserve won't be far from that figure.
How does one know when the reserve has been met?
@butchlobo Speedos are an easy fix. Under$ 200 at Hollywood Speedo or other resto shops. I have had two air cooled 911 cars that I popped the speedo. It happens when the driver pushes the "reset" knob while at speed. It snaps the plastic gear. Many Pcar owners wait before they sell the car to send it in for the fix.
@butchlobo Correct, should be relatively simple; a) because it's an ex us car and b) because it's over 25 years old.
@WeissachYVR I didn't catch that change, now it makes more sense. I also noted that the car was originally from the US so that should make it easier for a US buyer to register.

No lower trim parts, they were removed as part of the Outlaw, the Fuchs crest could be found.
There has been no rollback. CarFax often notes it when a car goes from Miles to KM.

Nice car. Can you post the engine rebuild paperwork please? Do you have the missing lower trim body parts and center porsche crests for the Fuchs? I too would like a little better explanation on the speedo. The carfax shows a warning on speedo roll back so this is an important issue to clarify.

@Oski98 Hi! We have records of the rebuilt last year if that helps. Odometers are very tough to get right and are often off on older cars.

Would love to bid on this car but things like "the odometer has been nonfunctional since the time of the restoration, although the seller confirms all other gauges and accessories to be fully operational" gives me pause . . . perhaps a silly concern, but seems like a basic thing that should work . . .

For newer factory vehicles I know that Porsche will send you an emissions compliance document for the US customs entry. Assuming this car has never been titled in the US, does anyone know how to go about getting this custom vehicle titled in the US?
