Up for auction is this 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo wrapped in Racing Green vinyl over black paint and a black leather interior. Equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and a rebuilt turbocharged 2.5 L engine, this 944 is said to have been kept in great mechanical order with over $13k worth of documented maintenance included. Upgraded with a performance chip, a 3” downpipe exhaust and a mass air flow intake kit, this 944 is now being offered in good driving condition by its seller in New Jersey with approximately 113k on the odometer.
A removable Racing Green vinyl wrap has been applied over the black exterior finish which is said to be in good condition for its age with some road rash (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Custom details include a Hella headlight conversion, orange painted brake calipers and a removable orange Porsche decal along the back of the car. This 951 highlights a distinctive aero front fascia and alloy Phone Dial wheels which remain in great shape.
Inside, the black leather interior is said to be in very good condition with all gauges and accessories remaining fully functional. Rear seat belts have been added along with a Porsche Classic Radio, a turbo boost and fuel ratio gauge pod, and a hardwired iPhone connection.
This 944 carries a 2.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which is rated at 220 HP stock. Power is delivered to the rear wheels by way of a numbers matching 5-speed manual transmission. Performance upgrades include a 28pin performance chip, a Lindsey 3” downpipe exhaust with cat delete, upgraded fuel lines and a Mass Air Flow intake kit. The beginning of the description says the engine was rebuilt, but its not listed in the maintenance or when this was done (unless I missed that). I do see when the head gasket set was done. Top end only?
