    @Spokayman
    Yes, although the factory maintenance schedule only lists a mileage interval for the timing belt (which Porsche changed along the way apparently with a time interval?), time is a factor. But, with only 1300 miles, I would not be concerned for at least a few more years. It was the original belts that were failing way too soon. The updated belts last much longer. However, if it is a big concern to a perspective buyer I would be happy to put a fresh belt on. As far as the timing chain, there is no set interval. If the vehicle showed signs of lack of maintenance (any oil coking/sludging) I would be inclined to do it as preventative sooner than later. We don't see them fail very often.

    @euroah,
    Greg, the timing/balance belts only have 1,300 miles on them, but are about eight years old which technically puts that service out of date or soon to be.
    I know you’ve seen dozens, perhaps hundreds of these Porsches in your time, and I’m curious about what your advice would be about the belts situation. Likewise the timing chain service.
    Thanks.

    I’ve driven this Car and it pulls hard as you would expect from a 944 S. I know the shop very well as a long time customer and they are straight up honest.

    This would be a great car for conversion to a DE event car or for someone looking to get into a transaxle. I actually considered this for my 18 year old son which is why I checked it out. Ultimately he wanted a WRX. I would have no hesitation in buying this 944 S
