The third generation Supra (A70) was launched for the 1986 model year as a distinct model from the smaller Celica. The new Supra came equipped with an array of Toyota’s latest technology and in 1987 a Turbo model was introduced. This 1987 Toyota A70 Supra Turbo was acquired by the seller in 2018 and has since undergone a full repaint, head gasket replacement, and a number of upgrades including an adjustable suspension, an HKS blow-off valve, and more. This Supra is now being offered for sale out of Pennsylvania while showing approximately 102k miles on its odometer.

This Supra was refinished in black under current ownership, and the seller notes that seven coats of paint were applied during the process. Details include an aftermarket front splitter and rear wing, pop-up headlights, and a single-canted exhaust outlet. Additional photos can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of bronze-finished aftermarket wheels, and the seller adds that the tires are due for replacement. The CARFAX report indicates that the car was involved in an accident in 1996.

The cabin is upholstered in black leather and has matching door panels. The front seats are said to have been reupholstered and the rear seats are incomplete. The dashboard has been rebuilt with LED lighting and aluminum trim, and a new double-din radio head unit has been installed. Details include a quick-release steering wheel, removable window tints, automatic climate control, and power windows, mirrors, and locks. The seller notes that not all gauges and accessories are functional at the present time.

Power comes from a turbocharged 3.0L 7M-GTE inline-six-cylinder engine. The seller reports that an HKS blow-off valve, a high-performance dual-fan radiator, and an upgraded exhaust system were installed while under their care. The rear wheels are driven by an R154 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The suspension has been upgraded with adjustable components. Service under current ownership is said to include an inspection of the turbocharger, a new head gasket, water pump, oil pump, and all new belts and hoses.
