Now available for auction is this 1988 Ferrari Testarossa finished in Rosso Corsa over a Crema leather interior with red deviated carpets. The flagship 12-cylinder Ferrari of the 1980s, the Testarossa was premiered at the 1984 Paris Auto Show sporting distinctive Pininfarina-designed bodywork. This 1988 example was originally specified for European delivery and comes equipped with double mirrors, aluminum Cromodora wheels, and a 5-speed gated manual transmission connected to a naturally aspirated flat-12 engine. It was imported to the U.S. in November of 1987 and has spent recent years in climate-controlled storage as part of a large private collection. Some older fuel lines have been recently replaced and a major engine-out service was completed within the last 100 km. This 1980s sports car icon is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas while showing approximately 7,500 km (4,660 miles) on the odometer.
This Testarossa comes finished in the traditional shade of Rosso Corsa. A U.S.-spec rear bumper has been added along with large square indicator lights front and rear, while the original European front lights, round side indicators, and engine cover have been retained. Double low-mounted mirrors were introduced in 1986 and this Testarossa is among the last to have been equipped with the early-style single-bolt 16” Cromodora aluminum wheels. The car rides on a set of older Goodyear Eagle tires and the seller describes the exterior to have been maintained in very nice condition overall, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a damage-free CARFAX report.
Inside, this Testarossa sports a Crema beige leather interior with contrasting red carpets and a black dashboard. The leather-wrapped three-spoke MOMO steering wheel sits ahead of analog Veglia instrumentation including a 200 MPH speedometer, 10k-RPM tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Additional instrumentation in the center stack shows fuel level, oil temperature, and an odometer. The center console houses a traditional gated shifter assembly along with controls for the lights, air conditioning, power windows, and mirrors. The center armrest includes storage space and a cassette organizer while the rear parcel shelf is fitted with leather straps for securing luggage. An aftermarket radio has been installed and CARFAX shows a not actual miles (NAM) title to have been issued by the state of New Jersey in 1992, although the seller reports the mileage shown on the odometer to be accurate.
This Testarossa is equipped with a mid-mounted Tipo F113 flat 12-cylinder engine with 4-valves-per cylinder, dry-sump lubrication, Marelli Microplex ignition, and Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection. Up to 380 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission with a gated shifter and limited-slip differential. A major engine-out service was completed by iAG of Pompano Beach, Florida, in October of 2015 at 7,401 km including new timing belts, gaskets, seals, O-rings, filters, and ignition components. The seller notes some of the older fuel lines have also been recently replaced in preparation for sale.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, a service invoice from iAG, and a clean title. Presented in quintessential Rosso Corsa over a unique Crema leather interior, this low-mileage Testarossa would make a fine addition to any enthusiast's collection.

@mayart ...... Call it grey market or R O W ... orig. a European market car , it has EPA and DOT releases that accompany the car .... no carb sticker , the tool roll was lost in transport somehow and will be replaced , in the process of getting another one.

@seller what does "originally specified for European delivery" mean? Is this a gray market car? Also does it have the tool roll and the wheel wrench and the spare tire and wheel? Also does it have the tag under the rear hood lid that says "This car is compliant to US EPA and California CARB regulations? Can you post a photo of the tag?
@rnak .... All of the glass is orig. , yes the A/C blows cold .... it appears the drivers door and front fender have been blended at some point .....

Hi Seller- The lighter Crema interior looks great with the red. Is there any service documentation prior to the 2015 service that supports the milage shown on the vehicle? Are you able to provide paint meter readings? Does the a/c work? Is all the glass original Ferrari?

@sav3f3rris ..... I dont have anything in writing , I have spoken with one prior owner prior to the last major service and he confirmed as well. Having been a Lamborghini Dealer for 10 years and dealing with the factory changing from kilometers one year to miles the next year and then going back to kilometers the next year these types of mistakes happened all the time. People should always report what is showing on the odometer and state kilometers instead of doing the calculation and reporting miles. This has been a pretty common problem with R O W cars.

What assurances are available per the comment that "the seller states the mileage is accurate"? It looks like the NAM title would have been issued under a prior owner if I'm reading the Carfax right, so just not sure what the seller has that would prove it's actual/accurate. Any information would be helpful.

The interior spec is the best look IMHO. I see no date given for last Engine Out. Only 60 miles ago? Should be clarified.
